Getting There

  • Tram

    From Zurich Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take tram line 4 in the direction of 'Zürich, Bahnhof Hardplatz'. Ride for 5 stops and get off at 'Zürich, Central'. Here, transfer to tram line 6 heading towards 'Zürich, Zoo'. Ride for 2 stops and disembark at 'Zürich, ETH/Universitätsspital'. Walk straight up the hill towards ETH Zurich. Follow the signs to the university and then head towards the lakefront. From there, you can walk to Schwabentor.

    From Zurich Hauptbahnhof, take a train to Schaffhausen. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Schaffhausen train station, exit the station and head towards the old town (Altstadt).
