Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the center of Kairouan, near the Great Mosque. Head southeast on Rue de la République toward Rue Barrouta. After approximately 1.5 km, turn left onto Rue Barrouta. Continue straight for about 500 meters, and you will find Bir Barrouta on your right. Parking may be available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations.

• Taxi

  You can take a taxi from anywhere in Kairouan to Bir Barrouta. Simply inform the driver to take you to 'Bir Barrouta' or provide the address M4G2+C82, Rue Barrouta. The fare is typically around 5-10 Tunisian Dinars, depending on your starting point. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey if the taxi is not metered.

• Public Transportation

  While there are no direct bus routes to Bir Barrouta, you can take a local bus that travels through the city. Board a bus heading toward the city center and disembark at the stop near the Great Mosque. From there, walk southeast along Rue de la République, then turn left onto Rue Barrouta. Bir Barrouta should be a short walk away (approximately 15 minutes). The bus fare is generally less than 1 Tunisian Dinar.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the city center, you may choose to walk to Bir Barrouta. From the Great Mosque, head southeast on Rue de la République for about 1.5 km. Turn left onto Rue Barrouta and continue straight for about 500 meters. The walk should take around 20-30 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the streets can be uneven.
