Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from Caernarfon town center and head south on the A487 towards Llanrwst. Continue on the A487 for about 8 miles. When you reach the roundabout at the junction with the A55, take the second exit onto the A55 towards Llandudno. Continue on the A55 for approximately 12 miles, then take exit 19 for Llandudno. Follow the signs for Llandudno and merge onto the A546. Continue on the A546 for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Great Orme toll road entrance on your left. Please note that there is a toll fee of £3 for cars to access the road leading up to the Great Orme Summit.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take the bus from Caernarfon to Llandudno. Look for the bus services operated by Arriva Cymru that connect these two locations. Upon arriving in Llandudno, you can take the local bus service (No. 11) that goes directly to the Great Orme. The bus stops near the entrance of the toll road. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary throughout the day.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and are staying in Llandudno, you can walk to the Great Orme Summit. From the town center, head towards the coast and follow the signs for the Great Orme. The walk involves a steep climb, so suitable footwear is recommended. It may take about an hour to reach the summit on foot, but the stunning views along the way are well worth the effort.

• Cycling

  For cycling enthusiasts, Llandudno is a great base for a bike ride to the Great Orme. You can rent a bike in Llandudno if you don’t have one. Follow the same route as cars via the toll road, but be aware that cyclists must also pay the toll fee of £3. There are dedicated cycling paths once you are on the Great Orme, making for a pleasant ride to the summit.
