Start your journey at any Tube station in central London. If you're near Westminster, take the Jubilee Line (dark grey) towards Stratford. Alight at Canary Wharf station after 6 stops. From Canary Wharf, exit the station and head towards the Canary Wharf shopping area. Follow the signs for the Crossrail Place Roof Garden. Once you reach the garden, head down to the ground level and take a right towards the West India Docks. Walk straight until you reach the junction with the Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach.

If you are near Tower Gateway or Bank, take the DLR towards Lewisham. Alight at the Poplar station. From Poplar, exit and walk towards the Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach. Keep walking straight until you reach the plaque located at 480 Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach. It will be on your left.

If you prefer to travel by bus, find a bus stop near you that serves routes going towards East London. Take bus number 135 or 15 towards North Greenwich. Alight at the stop called 'Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach'. From there, walk approximately 5 minutes along the Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach towards the plaque which should be located at 480 Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach, on your left-hand side.

If you are already in the vicinity of the Thames Path, you can enjoy a scenic walk towards the Blackwall Tunnel Plaque. Start at the Thames Path near the Greenwich area and walk towards the north along the river. This will eventually lead you to the Blackwall Tunnel. It’s approximately a 30-minute walk from the Greenwich area. Once you arrive at the Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach, the plaque is located at 480 Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach on your right.
