Your Itinerary

Crane

(Pass by)

The Crane is one of the defining symbols of Gdansk and represents what little is left of the city's great trading age. Built in the mid-15th century as part of the biggest double-towered gate on the shoreline, it also served to install and remove ships' masts, and to load and unload heavy cargo from vessels docked at the quay. Incredibly, this human-powered device could hoist loads of up to 2000kg, making it the largest crane in medieval Europe.

SS Soldek

(Pass by)

SS Sołdek was a Polish coal and ore freighter.

Gdansk Shipyard

(Pass by)

Gdansk Remontowa Shipyard is still a busy, working yard and for those interested to see ships of all sizes in different stages of repair or construction. It is so interesting to paddle and be able to see men working on ferries.

Motlawa River Embankment (Dlugie Pobrzeze)

(Pass by)

Kayak tour gives a different perspective on the historical value of the Main City. Paddling through the canals allows freedom to see places ferries cannot access. We will show you a completely different Gdansk to the one you’ve seen on land.

This was a really good experience! Our tour guide Eryk was excellent making sure everyone knew what they were doing before entering the water. There were also lockers available to put any belongings and waterproof phone cases if you want to take your phone out with you. The tour itself lasts around 2.5 hours, with a number of stops where you are given some interesting facts about the city and landmarks. Thank you!

Fun way to get to know Danzig. Simon taught us what we needed to know to be safe on the water and provided interesting insights into history and current developments in Danzig.

The guide was fun and informative. Beautiful kayak tour of Old Town Gdańsk and the commercial district.

Simon was an outstanding guide and provided thorough instructions prior to our tour on what to expect and how to kayak safely. He had great stories and was able to share 1000 years of history of Gdańsk along the way.

We did this tour on our first day in Gdańsk. It was a great way to see the city and learn about its history, and from a new perspective. We much preferred it to a walking tour. The staff were very friendly and organised.

A great experience. As an old guy who has never kayaked before, my wife and I were nervous about taking this on. But Mike & Simon were very supportive and we had a fabulous 2.5hr trip past the Old Town, around Granary Island and back to the old shipyards. Mike provided plenty of information about what we were seeing as we went round.

Great fun, something really different that my partner and I haven’t done before, but the instructor was great and taught us how best to enjoy our experience. Great way to spend your time in Gdańsk!

It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Saw some sights and got a bit of history (not boring and not loads, bite sized) in between paddling so you don't get too tired. Save some energy for the way back. I'm clumsy and uncoordinated and was in a single kayak but didn't capsize so most people should be safe. If its sunny you'll need sunscreen and sunglasses
