A great introduction to Hobart CBD and waterfront area. We booked this tour for the first day of our stay and got enough ideas to fill free days. The guide was excellent and the tour informative, not too long or strenuous, and with enough history to give a sense of the place. Learning about a colony that wiped out the aboriginal people and was built on convict labour is not a happy story but as the guide said, it’s one that needs to be acknowledged. The tour gave a real sense of what life was like back then and how those hard times laid foundations of the current thriving state capital. Highly recommend this reasonably priced tour.

Our guides knowledge of the area was remarkable & added depth to our walk. Having a small group also allowed for more questions which she was also able to answer.

Excellent in every way. Our guide was Lisa. She was clear, easy to listen to, interesting, well informed and probably one of the best tour guides I have heard in Australia. The information was really interesting, and gave a great insight into Hobart. Short walking distances with loads of interesting stories. Would highly recommended this tour!

I always find the stories behind history quite interesting. But they are often amusing as well, particularly when the supposed facts of history turn out to be blurred, misconstrued, or not true at all, as was the case in some instances on this walking tour. Good fun and a good day.
