Had a great experience with Ross. He was on time, friendly & very informative along the way to Cairns. Ross explained and pointed out the damage from the previous cyclone & we even got to see a Crocodile he showed us while it was swimming across the creek! Great experience, was like having your own tour guide!

This was a perfect transfer, and then some. Wayne was at the baggage claim area when we arrived and drove us to Port Douglas. On the way he gave us information about the area and history. Once in Port Douglas he gave us detailed instructions on how to get to the restaurants and shop areas without a car and drove us by various place like the dock, grocery store, and beaches. The front office was also terrific with their communication. The day before we were set to arrive our flight changed, as well as the time we arrived, and they were able to pivot and pick us up 4 hours earlier.

Our transfer was on January 3rd. There was a cyclone that damaged the major highway to Port Douglas from Cairns Airport, so the trip time took three hours instead of one hour. In addition to the longer drive, the shuttles couldn’t run as frequently, so we had to wait three hours at the airport before boarding the shuttle. Our total time from landing to getting to our Port Douglas hotel was six hours. The transfer itself was lovely - friendly and safe driver, stop for bathroom, etc; however, we were not made aware of the situation by Viator or the trip company before we arrived in Cairns. This listing should be updated for the lengthier transfer while the road is repaired. Our recommendation is to reach out to your hotel or transfer company directly to coordinate your transfer during this time.

We arrived in Cairns after a long flight from Singapore and were looking forward to getting to our accommodation in Port Douglas. It had not been totally clear when we booked this that it would be a shared car and that there might be a wait for passengers. We ended up waiting about one hour by the parking lot for a missing passenger. We finally got moving when one of the other passengers complained that we were all sick of waiting. Then it was a smooth journey up, but we were all exhausted that that stage. I’d advise Exemplar to be clearer with passengers on the service being booked.

Friendly service. We never had to wait for pick up or drop off. Only issue was the vehicles they use are very old and not comfortable at all.

Nice efficient transfer from CNS airport to Port Douglas and back. Took about an hour each way. A nice scenic ride through a winding road along the ocean for 1/2 the way. Easy access at airport by checking in at the exemplar office just before getting to the baggage carousels. Don't be afraid to ask for an earlier ride if your flight comes in early.

everything appeared Ok however once dropped off at my destination I discovered the driver had mistakenly given my case to another passenger. Although i Understood mistakes happen I was assured my case would be dropped off that same night, i explained importance as all my medication was in the case & i needed prior to bed. I was contacted later thet night being informed the case wont be dropped off till following day, I again explained the importance ZI have me meds, the driver them apologised however then said actually its not my fault which surprised me. I had a sleepless night my case eventually arriving mid morning the following day. I was also surprised to learn I was to be charged the full amount for my return trip. Im sure they are a good company & wouldn't not use them however just be mindful you luggage isn't given to another traveller.
