We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and experience. Stunning scenery and the guided tour with our local guide Craig was a fantastic insight to the local life and culture. A very long day but the highlight of our holiday in Darwin. Thanks to the team.

What a wonderful day. From Darwin it was an early start (around 5.00am) and a latish return (around 7.30pm) and it was well worth it. It was a privilege to spend over 3 hours with the local Aboriginal guide as we visited rock art paintings and hear the stories and dreamings associated with the paintings. Communication by Tim (the owner/operator) of the tour was amazing both before in preparation and during the tour. I certainly suggest that you book direct rather than through a third party.

The most amazing trip we have ever done EVER!!! The cultural immersion we experienced was incredible. We were taken back 60,000 years to understand how humans inhabited our land. The scenery of Arnhem land is beyond stunning - actually hard to find the words and Top End Tours and Tim were so informative and helpful. Honestly highly recommend.

I can't speak highly enough of this tour. We went into Arnhemland where non-Aboriginal people don't usually go. We saw rock painting after rock painting and these were enhanced by stories from our Aboriginal guide. The climb was challenging - not recommended for people without a reasonable level of fitness and agility.

A marvellous tour that I will never forget. Fantastic rock art in a stunning setting and a great opportunity to learn more of the first nation culture. Our driver/guide Tim was friendly, courteous, careful of our safety and wanted nothing more than for us to enjoy the land he clearly loves. Our local guide Sebastian was generous in sharing his knowledge and open to all of our questions. It was an honour and a privilege to visit such a special place.

Fantastic access to rock art and the indigenous perspective from the locals. It is a long day from Darwin - several passengers joined us in Jabiru knocking 4 hours or so off their round trip.

This was a fantastic experience. Tim isn’t short of a story and made the longish drive from Darwin pass quickly. The landscape of Arnhem Land is spectacular and varied - from jabirus and brolgas on green glowing wetlands to rich red rock outcrops . Our local guide met us at the Injalak Art Centre, which is full of work by present day local artists . We did a bit of croc spotting just outside the centre, accompanied by soaring eagles, and then went up the hill to see the work of artists of days gone by whilst our guide told us stories. The sheer amount, variety and colour of the work was incredible. A relaxed black wallaroo hung around for a while. Great day . The small group size was nice.

Our day was fantastic from start to end. We were picked up by Tim in Jabiru and he drove us across Cahills crossing to Gunbalanya. Tim shared and explained what we would do for the day and was really good at reminding us all to drink plenty of water as we would be out in the heat for 3-4hours. At Gunbalanya we met our guide, Sebastian, at Injalak Arts. He showed us around the centre, introduced us to some of the artists and talked about his community. The highlight was Injalak Hill. The rock art is breathtaking and there is so much. We climbed up and over rocks, through crevices, pass caves and under ledges and around every ‘corner’ was more spectacular rock art. Seb talked about the stories, his culture and his country which added so much meaning to our day. It was an absolute privilege to experience this special place and we are really grateful for the opportunity. Time had the best gift for us at the end of the day and had us back inJabiru safe and sound by 4pm. Thanks so much Tim and Sebfor the best day and one we will look back on as a highlight of our trip to the top end.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Smooth transition from the pick up in Darwin, to when we arrived in Arnhem Land. The guide - Tim and First Nations guides - Sebastian and John were fantastic! Highly recommend doing this tour. The walk up to injalak hill was challenging at times but absolutely worth it once you made it up. Please don’t do this tour if you’re expecting it to have a flight of stairs, this is a true cultural experience and a wonderful one!
