Shoreline Village

Charming shopping village features colorful boardwalk shops & restaurants amid scenic harbor views. Shoreline Village offers a wide variety of fun and entertainment for every age. Enjoy waterfront dining options to fit your particular mood, ranging from simple snacks like funnel cake and ice cream to upscale outdoor dining overlooking the Queen Mary. Styled after a quaint Cape Cod fishing village, the boardwalk provides breathtaking views of the gorgeous Rainbow Harbor in Long Beach while providing family friendly fun by day and unmatched romance by date night. The boardwalk sits just outside the reach of the mighty Pacific and stretches for almost half a mile through the rolling dunes. It's only a short walk from most downtown Long Beach activities and is a popular attraction for visitors and locals alike.

The Queen Mary

Dubbed the "Grey Ghost" because of her stealth and stark color, the Queen Mary was the largest and fastest troopship to sail, capable of transporting as many as 16,000 troops at 30 knots. After the end of WWII, the Queen Mary began a 10-month retrofitting process, which would return the ship to her original glory. Next to the Queen Mary you will see as well a Russian submarine. The B-427 was a Project 641 (Foxtrot-class) diesel-electric attack submarine of the Soviet Navy. The "B" (actually "Б") in her designation stands for большая (bolshaya, "large"). Commissioned in 1971, the submarine operated with the Russian Pacific Fleet until decommissioning in 1994. The boat was sold to a group of Australian businessmen, who converted her into a museum vessel, which was placed on display at the Australian National Maritime Museum (under the name Foxtrot-540) from 1995 until 1998, then at Long Beach, California (under the name Podvodnaya Lodka B-427 Scorpion) in 1998.

Korean Bell of Friendship

This massive and intricately-decorated bell and pavilion was donated in 1976 to the people of Los Angeles by the people of the Republic of Korea to celebrate the bicentennial of the U.S. independence, honor veterans of the Korean War, and to consolidate traditional friendship between the two countries. The Korean Bell of Friendship is a massive bronze bell housed in a stone pavilion in Angel's Gate Park, in the San Pedro neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The bell was cast in Korea and shipped to the United States. Weighing 17 tons, with a height of twelve feet and a diameter of 7-1/2 feet, the bell is made of copper and tin, with gold, nickel, lead and phosphorous added for tone quality. The bell is set in a pagoda-like stone structure which was constructed on the site by thirty craftsmen flown in from Korea.
