Your Itinerary

La Cinta Muraria - Camminamento di Ronda

The Parapet Walkway is 15 meters above Cittadella’s walls on the historic defensive walkway whose purpose was to defend the town from above in the event of enemy attack. Recent renovation work has made the historic Walkway safe for the public and it is an excellent opportunity to explore the town from a new and attractive historic perspective, a unique walk through history. The visitors’ route is almost two kilometers long and many of the medieval museums and re-enactment rooms in the Captain’s house can be visited en route. Inside the Torre di Malta, moreover, you can visit the almost thirty meter high Belvedere, the Siege Museum and the Civic Archaeological Museum. The view ranges over the countryside around the town including the Euganean Hills, the Berici mountains, the Alpine foothills with the walled towns of Marostica and Asolo and Mt. Grappa.

Admission Included

Museo del Duomo di Cittadella

There is an art gallery, including the grandiose "Supper at Emmaus", a Renaissance masterpiece by Jacopo Bassano. Inside you can find all kinds of artwork as paintings, sculptures and applied arts from different historical periods, starting from the fourteenth century

Palazzo Pretorio

It was the seat of the Podesta at the time of the Venetian Republic, “Serenissima”. Inside there are frescoes of fake tapestry with vertical bands, polychrome friezes, circles and medallions with portraits of illustrious characters of the past, as well as the ancient prisons of the Magistrates' Court. Immerse yourself in the Renaissance period of Cittadella

Teatro sociale

The elegant neoclassical facade is attributed to Giuseppe Jappelli, author of the famous Pedrocchi Café in Padua. The stunning frescoes in the room were created by Francesco Bagnara, the same artist who decorated "La Fenice" theatre in Venice. Admire the hidden "Jewel" of Cittadella

What a lovely place to visit! We did a one night stay in town and loved all the Cittadella Card offered. The fact that it can be used all year is wonderful, too! The museum was well done and walking the perimeter of the wall was fabulous.

Not possible to do the whole wall at present but half was enough to appreciate the town below. Interesting museum included to give feel and story to the town

Beautiful walls and views, but it would be a good idea to allow people to leave at the halfway point (especially for a drink on a hot day...when the drink machine is not working!) and then re-start the walk for the second half.

Walking on the city wally is an amazing experience like you walk through the history. Views from the walls are beautiful. The ticket price is also included museum, which is in main tower that is on the half way when you making circle walking on the walls

Cute town whose historic center is surrounded by medieval walls and whose walkway is still open to the public, the route is about 2 km at an average height of 15m (about 1 hour's walk)... I felt like a patrol soldier

The route of about 1km and a half is truly wonderful. If you are lucky enough to go on a clear day you can see the Alps and the whole town. Really nice.

Really useful, this cumulative ticket lasts one year with 10 euros one can visit 5 sites: praetorian palace (partly frescoed) social theater (small favor, you can also go on stage) cathedral museum (with the grandiose “Supper at Emmaus”, a masterpiece dated 1537 by Jacopo Bassano) Walls (for me not suitable for everyone, alternatively you can only see the museum exhibition before the walkway) an oratory Pay attention to opening times and days Go there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pleasant and characteristic walk on the walls, beautiful panorama, appreciated even more because of the beautiful sunny day

Cittadella ist ein wunderschöner mittelalterlicher Ort - mit einzigartigen Stadtmauern - nette Lokale - schöne Geschäfte - ein Ort zum Verlieben 👌🏻

Very pleasant visit to a particularly unique and picturesque place. A walk to enjoy the architecture and landscape.
