    This trip was easily one of my favorite ever. Giovanni leads you through the town of Fiesole (older than Florence!) and then the Tuscan country side, weaving together history from Etruscans, Romans, Middle Ages, Dante, Renaissance, all the way to to world war II. Roads are paved with only the occasional passing car, and the e-bikes make the hills a breeze. On the way back, he stopped at a farm stand for fresh baked bread, tomatoes, and apricots, and we are at a farm house just up the road. The temperature in Florence was about 97 degrees, but it felt lovely in the hills. All in all, a lovely, serene day, that makes it easy to understand how people fall in love with Tuscany. Can't recommend highly enough!!! (Also, don't be scared to take the bus to Fiesole, the number 7 bus comes at least every 20 minutes, and Fiesole is the last stop. It's a beautiful bus ride just for the scenery, and a bargain at less than 2 euros.)

    We 100% Recommend this trip!!! This amazing experience was the highlight of our trip to Florence and maybe of our entire time in Europe. Giovanni was absolutely fantastic to spend the day with. At no time did we ever feel unsafe or experience anything other than a great time. All equipment performed flawlessly. It was a perfect blend of history, culture, exercise, scenery, and fantastic food tasting at a local farm. Do not hesitate - book this trip!

    This was the top highlight for my family! Giovanni made for an amazing, beautiful e-bike ride! The e-bikes were good bikes. It was a blast and so beautiful to see the countryside! The food he had was so fresh and delicious! We all highly recommend this experience!

    Giovanni was a fantastic guide. If you enjoy active tours and in your travels, I highly recommend this tour - it was just my wife and I and so beyond Giovanni's information on Fiesole and Firenze, he answered all our own questions and gave personal insight to our travels. His local knowledge as someone whose family has been in the city for generations allowed for us to see the countryside through his eyes. Great history lessons! It was lovely to eat local produce, drink local wine, and try local olive oil.

    Thanks to its elevated position, Fiesole has always been one of the most popular places for Florentines and tourists to enjoy the view over Florence and the Arno valley, but also to look out over the wonderful Tuscan countryside that surrounds the village. Fiesole is only 4 miles away from the center of Florence but outside the city, making it the best starting point to really explore the Tuscan countryside without going too far from the town but away from crowded places.

The Renaissance City and all her vibrant terracotta rooftops and towers are as visible atop Fiesole, as they are if you were standing at Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence itself, only with far fewer people admiring her gorgeous view.

The Fiesole stop is the last on the bus route. Tickets MUST BE VALIDATED ONCE BOARDED.
