We will start our walk in Parque los Andes, which at the weekend transforms from a sleepy park into a bustling flea market. We will visit the antiques and collectable stools before heading over to the vintage clothes. It is a paradise for fashion lovers!

Gauchito Gil

For one of the stops on the walk we will learn the story of Gauchito Gil the Argentine folk hero. We will take a look inside a shrine and see how people pay their respect to this quasi-saint gaucho (cowboy)

We will also take a look at one the newest murals in the city - a homage to the neighbourhood of Chacarita

Cementerio de la Chacarita

During the walk we will visit Chacarita Cemetery which has a fascinating history. We will see the impressive tombs and mausoleums which were built during the country’s belle epoque period. It is also the resting place of Argentina’s most loved Artists, particularly from the Tango era.

Avenida Corrientes

By now, we are all a little hungry so we will stop for lunch at a pizzeria dating from 1947. We will try a couple of slices of Argentine pizza and enjoy a beer, glass of wine or a soft drink
