Stunning piece of history. Fascinating. Views were amazing. The audio tour was perfect because you could go at your own pace. Hearing directly from prisoners and guards really makes it real.

Very nice tour of all the hot spots in SF. I liked the jump in and out aspect at different locations. Worth the money to tour in comfort Alcatraz was amazing and the timing of this tour perfect.

We enjoyed our city tour and our guide Michelle was knowledgeable however it was shorter than we expected with limited time at the stops. The Alcatraz section of the tour was very interesting and fairly well organised. There were some parts of the island that weren't open to tourists and some parts are needing some upgrading.

Coach was late (15 mins) we were standing and it was cold and windy. Stops were only 10/15 minutes so lot a of time. We were dropped off to make our own was to and from Alcatraz which was disappointing - we could easily do that ourselves. Guide was very knowledgeable.

This review is for VIATOR TOURS. We experienced poor communication with the tour service. The details provided were unclear, we missed both tours we scheduled. Despite showing up at the meeting point on time, we waited for half an hour past the arranged time. Eventually, we decided to visit Pier 39 and purchased tickets there for a boat tour. Regrettably, our experience with the tour service was disappointing, and we feel we should have saved our money by skipping it altogether. My husband ordered the tickets and received the correspondence with the meeting arrangements. This was our first time visiting San Francisco, and we were eagerly looking forward to both the Alcatraz tour and the boat tour. However, it's important to note that the boat tour does not stop at Alcatraz but only goes near it. We now plan to return to San Francisco in a couple of months to visit the island, but we will not be using this tour service again. Unfortunately, despite our dissatisfaction with the service, we did NOT receive a refund, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for us.

it was interesting relieving the movie and thinking how hard it was for the inmates. At least the inmates enjoyed the food.

The driver and guide were pretty good. The stops were adequate. We did the citty tour/Alcatraz combo. We parked our car near Union Square, which was the meeting point of the tour. The Alcatraz part was in the afternoon. We expected to be brought back to the origin of the tour to get our car after Alcatraz and instead were left on our own to taxi back to get our car. Not a deal breaker but a bit annoying. At least we could've gotten a taxi voucher.
