Our guide Alejandra was wonderful! She had a great knowledge of the history of Toledo. Having a local guide really helps to give insight into the day-to-day life as well. Alejandra was easy to talk with and we enjoyed her sense of humor and warmth. Highly recommend!

Very educational and kind and fun time with Alejandro. Weather was not cooperating but he handle the visits in a way we did not suffer Good recommendations for purchasing marzipan and for lunch Great

Alejandro was a great and personable guide. He met us at the train station and we took a cab into the city. You stop on the way in for a breathtaking view. He then walks you through the city, discussing daily life and history. You get to see two archeological sites not open to the general public. There are several times along the way you can stop to purchase something if you like, but no real pressure to do so. You end the tour in the main square and can wander around at your leisure afterwards.

Alejandra was an amazing tour guide! Extremely knowledgeable and fun personality. She was an instant friend and she showed us everything we wanted to see and more. She definitely knew the paths to take that kept us out of the main tourist areas so it felt private. We highly recommend this tour in Toledo!

Alejandro, an archaeologist, was the perfect guide for our three walking tours of his beloved city giving us a taste of this special place that went way beyond anything that could be gleaned from a mere guide book together with the privilege of venturing under the street transporting us to a time long past revealed in a Muslim hammam and Jewish mikveh so perfectly preserved on the granite bedrock. Our walking tour, divided over three days encompassed the Jewish, Christian and Muslim heritage of this historical city where the three cultures interweave so fascinatingly. In addition, the recommendations for places to eat and, off the usual tourist trail places to see, was a special treat. Don’t miss the tapas at Taberna Botero nor stint on the marzipan this city is so famous for…esp Santo Tomé but also those bought directly from the nunneries in the heart of the city. Nothing was too much trouble for our kind and knowledgeable guide who on departing also called a taxi for us to ride out to the Parador for an overview of this special place. We weren’t surprised to find Toledo featured in the travel section of our Sunday Times paper as well as being visited in Monty Don’s new series visiting gardens in Spain. Make sure you seek out Alejandro if you are lucky enough to visit Toledo. You won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to return.

Alejandro was incredible! This tour was special because we felt like we were really hanging out with a knowledgeable local. He was really passionate about his city and transmitted that at every turn of our walking tour. The time went by really fast because we were having a great time. Truly recommend this tour!! One of the best tours we’ve had so far in Spain!

Alejandro was great! He showed up promptly on time and was very friendly. The tour itself was amazing. We got to walk around Toledo away from the main crowds and learn about the history of Spain, Toledo, and archaeology. He recommended a great place for lunch - and handled making the reservation for us - and made himself available if we had questions on the rest of our trip. He could tell that my husband and I were nerds and leaned heavily into history and facts which we really appreciated. Highly recommended - one of our favorite tours we've done!

Do not hesitate, do this experience. We had the pleasure of traveling back in time in the wonderful city of Toledo with archeologists who know their city and will take you places within the city that no other tours will go. This was by far the best tour of our trip to Spain.

Fabulous tour. The usual sites but also a dig of a Jewish ruin under a house. Our archaeologist guide had worked on the dig. Lots of extra history.

Alejandro was an amazing guide. His knowledge of the history of Toledo, particularly architecturally and archaeologically was something you cannot get from a typical tour guide. He tailored our walk to our wishes and was super helpful in helping to plan the remainder of our visit. It was particularly charming to see so many people in the town stop to say hello to Alejandro, who grew up along the tour route and went to university along the tour route. When in Toledo, you cannot go wrong with this tour.
