Your Itinerary

Munich Marienplatz

The Christkindlmarkt on Munich's Marienplatz, located in the heart of the city, is certainly the most famous. The Christmas tree in front of the New Town Hall, decorated with 3,000 Christmas lights, offers an atmospheric eye-catcher. The fir tree is donated every year by a different tourist region. From Marienplatz we can take a stroll through the famous food market, the Viktualienmarkt, to the Sendlinger Gate, where the next Christmas market is already waiting for us. At the Isartor, the most beautiful of the three surviving Munich city gates, you will be greeted by the scent of the 'Munich Feuerzangenbowle', which is prepared in a 9,000-litre giant boiler. The ingredients rum, red wine and sugar pay particular attention to high quality. Which of the Christmas markets listed here we will visit, you can decide flexibly on site - the process is never rigid, it always takes place in mutual agreement!

Munich Residence

Its exceptional location in one of the seven courtyards of the historic Munich residence gives this Christmas market, which is actually called the "Christmas Village in the Brunnenhof", its special charm. It's just a stone's throw from here to the next market at Wittelsbacherplatz...

Wittelsbacherplatz

You should come to the "Medieval Christmas Market" around the equestrian statue of the Elector Maximilian I. if you want to mingle with Met among knights and jugglers. Don't be surprised if you meet men with helmet, shield and sword! Even women in the Burgfräulein-Costume and bird of prey on their arms are nothing unusual. If you still need a Christmas present, you can choose between gold jewellery, lambskin and handmade drinking horns. (The time required for this possible stay depends entirely on your wishes - we will be happy to advise you!)

Stachus

Every year in the Advent season, the 'Munich Ice Magic' takes place at the Karls-square in front of the western city gate: On the largest mobile ice arena in the city, young and old make their rounds. From the 'Panorama-Alm' you have the best view of the spectacle, possibly with a warming 'Glühwein' (mulled wine) in your hand... (The time required for this possible stay depends entirely on your wishes - we will be happy to advise you!)

English Garden

Certainly one of the most romantic places to enjoy the Advent season - plenty of space, lots of history and many attractions offers the largest inner-city park in the world. With a little luck we can watch the unreciphered 'Eisbach' surfers with their special winter sports fun even in sub-zero temperatures. And last but not least, in the middle of the park is the favorite Christmas market of your guide...

Haidhausen

For many, the Haidhauser Christmas Market, which has been taking place for more than 40 years, is the most beautiful city. On the idyllic and neat area around a fountain, there is still a really cosy Christmas atmosphere. Away from the hustle and bustle, you can enjoy the Advent season with all your senses and enjoy the glories in the more than 50 wooden huts decorated with Christmas decorations.

Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt

The most bizarre "Christmas Market" takes place with "Pink Christmas" in Munich's Glockenbach district: Here we can go late in the afternoon if you want to see travesty artists, unusual goods and a mixed audience, accompanied by Elektro music: Pink Christmas drives out a few clichés to the normal Christmas market and still stays quite relaxed! Open from 4 p.m. (The time required for this possible stay depends entirely on your wishes - we will be happy to advise you!)

Theresienwiese

Here on the Theresienwiese, where the Oktoberfest usually attracts millions of visitors in late summer, the 'Tollwood Winter Festival' takes place every year from the end of November. Tollwood is not a classic Christmas market, but rather a unique blend of culture, gastronomy and handicrafts. In addition to the cultural offer, the "Market of Ideas" captivates its visitors with international gift ideas, culinary delicacies and an enchanting square design. Since some retailers offer their goods in heated large tents, the Tollwood is also an ideal place to warm up! (The time required for this possible stay depends entirely on your wishes - we will be happy to advise you!)

Nymphenburg Palace

The charming and cosy Neuhauser Christmas Market is about a 10-minute drive from the centre. A good stopover on the way to Nymphenburg Castle, whose baroque park also develops its special charm in winter. We also recommend a visit to the baroque interiors, your guide will explain the historical significance and will fascinate you with Nymphenburg anectodes. Entrance fee per adult: € 8.00 (children under 18 years free admission) (The time required for this stay depends entirely on your wishes - we will be happy to advise you! Any entrance fees are not included in the travel price.)
