joao/john was a fantastic host. It was very nice to actually have the owner of the business as our personal tour guide for our party of two. He is very personable and a perfect personal experience if you are a foodie. A must is trying some of the vintage Moscatel’s from Fonseca. As a fellow Viator supplier business owner I thoroughly recommend this tour. Brett @ Veteran Kayaks Las Vegas.

Great guide, great wine and a memorable experience. Plenty of opportunities to learn about wine as well. Rodrigo is our man!

Rod was an excellent tour guide. Great conversationalist and very knowledgeable about wines in the region. Whilst we enjoyed the whole tour, we could have skipped the first winery as the second and third wineries were much better.

This tour is a must do if you appreciate wine, want to see 3 different wine facilities, and enjoy a day with a great guide. We had John (João), who actually owns the tour company, take us around to 3 different places to try wine. The first was one of the oldest family run wineries in the country, with the family still running it today. There we had a tour of the buildings and the grounds and got to try 3 different wines at the end. The next place was the “mother house” in Palmela where John walked us through 5 different wines, chosen to our tastes. Lastly, we went to a wine co-op facility where a few different brands make their wine. We had a great tasting in the cellar accompanied by a snack plate. If you’re lucky to have him, John is an amazing guide and is so knowledgeable about wine. We learned so much from him and highly recommend this experience if you are staying in Lisbon!
