Azulejos de Azeitão uses traditional European tile-making methods, and reproduces old designs, not only from European countries, but also from Islamic and Chinese ones. We manufacture hand-painted flat tiles, as well as relief tiles with glaze in different colours, in the style of Hispano-Moorish tiles from the 16th century. All of our tiles are made to order, so we can offer our customers flexibility in size, color and design. Here on these pages are just some of the designs we've chosen to reproduce. However, we have an extensive library of books on tiles and other ceramics, which we use as a reference when we need to find additional images to copy.

In 1998, Commander José Berardo became the main shareholder and pursued the company's mission, namely investing in the planting of new vineyards, modernizing the wineries and acquiring new properties, as well as through the partnership initiated with Lafitte Rothschild at Quinta from Carmo. The company acquired Quinta do Carmo and the Lafitte Rothschild Group took some shares in the Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal group.
