Oller del Mas is not a common winery – its superb ecological wines have earned plenty of awards in the recent years. In fact, one of its wines won the “Best Wine in Catalonia” award in 2018. But the cellar is not only special for its wines. You will take a stroll by the vineyards, learn how the wine is made, and discover all of its secrets. *We work daily with different low-production, family-owned boutique wineries. Due to logistic reasons, you might visit another cellar instead of Oller del Mas.

I signed up for this trip very last minute and was so glad I did! I had intended on going to Montserrat on my own- but after looking at the logistics- it was much easier to take a tour group and try the wine of the country along the way. (Vince was a total addition here!) It was the right choice though as I entered the air conditioned bus to head over (it was late June and rather hot!) We even got to learn a lot about the history of Catalan and Montserrat along the way. We went on the cogwheel which was exciting to feel heading up the mountain. Once we got there we got an orientation from Vince- we learned about hour hour of free time to go spend time in the basilica- take a small hike to gorgeous vista, go to the farmers market for honey and cheese, or to go check out the art museum that is hiding pieces by Picasso and Money deep within the vaults. I opted for the farmers market and art museum! Both were fantastic! After that we headed to the vineyard- In many trips- I would have expected a different guide AT the winery- but Vince was ready to go! As a title sommelier- he showed us some of the ways that they keep the grounds organic for the future of the earth and the vineyards. He led us through an absolutely fabulous wine tasting and took us back safely to Barcelona. I think one of the things that made this experience the best is that Vince was close to both the winery and as a Catalonian and as a wine expert he was very passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with us.

Service was great! Mariana and tony were great. I would choose a different winery though. It's beautiful but the wine by the glass is high(22$) and they don't have cava. Montserrat was breathtaking.

What a sensational day out viewing this spectacular place. Judith was amazing. She was so informed, helpful, at times funny with her stories. She ran a good tour group,involving everyone, ensuring we stayed together, could hear what was being shared and checking in on us. Marianna was the best tour guide ever! We had the best time with Marianna listening to the history of Spain on our way to Montserrat. Marianna was also able to give us great recommendations on what to do while we were visiting. We hiked to the cross per Mainna’s recommendation rather than ride the fanicular to the top. We purchased the Nun’s bread which was delicious. Tapas and wine tasting at Oller de Mas was fun, Marianna knows her wines! It was an excellent experience and we will recommend this tour to our friends who are traveling to Barcelona.

Aline, our tour guide, was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable, lovely person. She guided us completely from start to end. Monserrat has such scenic beauty, and is a must-see in Barcelona. The Monastery area is great. And the winery with tapas was just fantastic!

Tour guide walked extremely fast. Other than that good amount of time there to go to the cafe, go to souvenir and specialty shop, walk around and take in the views. Mountains were gorgeous, stunning views!

ALINE was our Tour Guide, and she was AMAZING! 10 stars to her! And overall, the scenic beauty of the Monserrat mountain is just incredible. The history of the area, the monastery, and the winery is so nice. ALINE brought it all to life. Oh, and the winery was so much fun. We did the Tapas option with the winery, which was enough food for us. Thank you, Aline, for this great experience!

This was our first time in Barcelona and booking with Castletours. The experience was top notch from start to finish. Starting with Montserrat our guide Berta was lovely. Our second stop was the vineyeqrd where we had a yummy three course meal with wine followed by a tasting. It honestly included a lot more than we were expecting. Our guide Javi was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, kept the group engaged and went above and beyond answering every single question we had. He even followed up afterwards with recommendations on other sites we should see. I’d highly recommend Castletours and this experience to others!
