The river trip in canoes was the best part of our Big Bend National Park adventure. We went on the overnight trip and it was so fun for this 68 year old couple. To start with, our guides Johnny and Darrin took good care of all of us. They gave us a safety lesson and discussed those things that would help keep us from flipping over or getting injured...I'm happy to report neither happened to anyone. Food was provided and after a lot of rowing we really enjoyed the good meal together and getting to know one another. The food was yummy and Johnny was a great cook. They worked together and prepared delicious meals and desserts. We had a campfire at night and sat around telling stories and talking about experiences. Our guides had some awesome experiences and plenty of humor to share. Rowing through the canyons, seeing wildlife and listening to the birds in the trees...it was all so memorable. The most amazing thing is the night sky. I had never seen such a beautiful dark sky with a million stars. A few last things...pieces of advice. Take plenty of sunscreen and hand lotion...leave only footprints.

You can't control the water but even with low flow below 10 cfs the company delivered a fantastic trip. In the State Park there was enough water to make it work with some small portage. The highlight of the trip though was riding with Erin in the van. Her passion for the area and it's natural history was incredible. Definitely a company I will engage my next trip to Big Bend.

We had a fantastic time with our younger kids. It was our first time trying this activity and we made lots of fun memories together. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, ensuring that we felt safe and comfortable at every stage of the float. We would definitely recommend this tour to others looking for a fun and family-friendly outdoor adventure.

My favorite parts were to see the Mexican Cowboys and the livestock freely adventuring. Additionally, the views were absolutely spectacular! We had a very clear day. :)

We took the half day morning tour which was really and u fortunately boring. Our guide was informative re: the area. River was pretty low. Check this before you book. Make sure to bring exact cash for tip.

Our guide, Dillon, made this a great trip. From beginning to end, he provided us with all the information we needed to stay safe and have an interesting and enjoyable experience. We had one day in Big Bend NP and during the trip into and out of the park he gave us many hiking tips and ideas for our much longer (once we retire) return trip to the park. The canoe trip was just about the right length, lunch was at a beautiful spot right off the Rio Grande and the take in/take out is at a nice venue that includes restrooms. The value that you get for this trip is outstanding.
