Yarrabah
As we cruise away from Cairns we follow the coastline to Fitzroy Island. Almost all of the land is proudly the indigenous land. Yarrabah was established on the traditional lands of the Gunggandji people at Mission Bay on the Cape Grafton Peninsula. Its just a spectacular cruise to Fitzroy Island.
Fitzroy Island
We visit Fitzroy Island for just under 2 hours . We pull into Welcome Bay Jetty where snorkelling to view corals and hopefully turtle spotting can be done from the beach. For passengers more land based we recommend a easy walk to Nudey Beach or for peoples more adventurous and fit to do it the summit or lighthouse hike can be accomplished within our time schedule.
Frankland Islands
We leave Fitzroy Island and cruise to Frankland Islands takes about an hour. The is spectacular coastal views of the Gunggandji peoples traditionally owned land for some 40km south to the Franklands. We slow cruise by these spectacular islands allowing for many pictures whilst we serve a two course grazing menu lunch.
Barnard Island Group National Park
It takes approximately 1.5 hours for us to cruise to Kent Island (North Barnard Island Group). Kent Island is one of 4 main islands of this group. Here we'll stop for hopefully about an hour and if time permits time to go ashore to Kent Island for some strolling of it's beaches or perhaps some swimming. If we don't have the time we'll navigate the islands very closely for some great picture opportunities. After leaving Kent Island we'll cruise by the Southern Barnard Island Group before a QuickStop at Mission Beach for local passengers to embark.
Dunk Island
Upon leaving Mission Beach we'll cruise only half an hour to Dunk Island. We arrive approximately 4pm an passengers have time to embark on leisurely strolls before a 3 course dinner is served on QuickCoast jetty-side with spectacular views of Brammo Bay and then across to 14km of Mission Beach connecting villages.
Djiru National Park
Our Myroo Coach-X will be waiting for QuickCoast's arrival from Dunk Island at 7pm. On our coach, you leave Mission Beach you'll pass through Djuru Indigenous country. Keep your eye our for a twilight wild Cassowary as Myroo Coach-X turns onto the highway through banana and sugar cane costal towns back to Cairns.
