The narrative via individual audio device coupled with informative dioramas puts you directly in the story of westward expansion.

We visited here as our very last stop during a two-week-long road trip from our home in southeastern PA to the Dakotas and western NE in the summer of 2023; it was a highlight of our trip! This modern and spacious attraction is extremely well done and engaging. Visitors can use handsets to enjoy an audio tour of the multimedia galleries, progressing from one stop to the next and getting interesting narrative for each. The attraction is filled with artifacts and informative placards in every themed exhibit room. We enjoyed the chronological presentations on the pioneer trail and early settlement and transportation. There is a nice western art gallery, too. In all, we spent 90 minutes in the galleries. Onsite is a very nice Nebraska tourist center, where we picked up excellent free National Park Service booklets about the historical overland trails. All in all, we found this to be an excellent visitor experience.

Not much else I can write that hasn't been said. It's a nice display that tells the story of the early pioneers and the struggles they have to go through. Yes, it focused on the Mormons, but if I remember correctly, the Mormon Trail ran through here so it kind of makes sense. Nice place to stop for a break from the freeway. Appears they have some fun stuff for the kids like gem mining, etc.

A very interesting stop along Interstate 80. We decided to stop here because it was a mid-way stop in our days travels. Thinking we would take a short break and be on our way we were pleasantly surprised and spent over an hour exploring the many historic displays. It is well worth taking the time to stop and spend time immersed in history of the Platte River valley. A unique place indeed.

I’ve driven under the Archway a few times but never stopped. Recently I was staying in Kearney and decided to visit the museum. I really enjoyed it! The exhibits were very well done. They looked realistic and incorporated video at times. I liked the self-guided tour, so I could skip ahead or replay something if I wanted to. I wish I had brought my children when they were younger because I know they would have enjoyed it as well. I recommend this for all ages but especially for elementary-age children who are learning about American history.

My husband, 17 year old son and 19 year old German foreign exchange student all really enjoyed the museum and surrounding trails. Very well done and full of interesting history and information I had never heard before. The Archway Monument is such an easy stop of of I80 as we were traveling to Colorado. We would recommend it to anyone!!

We loved walking through this historical gem! Every display was very well represented and the audio portion was great. The gift shop had a very nice selection of gifts and the prices were very reasonable.

I liked everything, and my family did too. Everyone liked the speaker machines, if wanted to listen to something again you could.
