When Captain Mome, Justice and Jamison got us to the site, we saw a manta before we even got in the water! They were amazing: so informative and so much fun! Having multiple rays swim up from the depths, mouths wide open to catch the plankton and doing barrel rolls right in front of and under us: it was absolutely breathtaking! It was magical.

The trip was amazing. It seems like those beasts cannot be real but CGI through our computer. We were told not to touch them but they certainly touched us. We saw over 20 and the crew made it easy and fun. I would definitely do this again when I come back.

AMAZING! Seeing the mantas and even having them occasionally brush up against us was spectacular! Once in a lifetime experience!!! It was almost as if they were playing with us! Quite a few on our boat were very inexperienced with snorkeling and the ocean waves. But the guides did everything they could to help them overcome their fears and sea sickness. A wonderful experience!

Ocean Encounters were amazing! The Captain and crew really worked hard to ensure our safety and enjoyment. Without question, seeing a 14’ manta ray less than 4 inches from my face will be one of my life’s greatest memories. Other than the water being very cold, it was a beautiful and amazing experience. We were on boat #2 yesterday, May 30 and the crew was fantastic.

Bite me sport fishing had a great staff. Very informative. Saw several manta rays up very close to where they almost touch you, it was amazing. Plus we saw dolphins and a sea turtle in harbor. Would high recommend if you are in a Kona looking for an adventure. They do have a tip jar at end of excursion. We didn't have cash but they accepted vemo which was nice so we could leave a tip to the staff as that helps with their pay.
