The guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and thorough which brought the tour to life. The cost of the tour is well worth the money. Great job Viator for offering this tour, it should NEVER not be offered!!!

Monica led an excellent tour in a challenging site. We easily traveled to Dachau, learned of its history and reflected on the terrible losses. I appreciated Monica’s easy conversational style and her pacing and awareness of group needs was perfect.

We had a great time on this tour! Sam was very kind and knowledgeable. He made sure to explain everything and encouraged questions all throughout the tour. I didn’t feel rushed and while there is quite a bit of walking it was evenly paced. Highly recommend!

Aileen was a wonderful guide, extremely informative and even gave us a great dinner recommendation for that evening

Aileen was an excellent guide. She kept us on time, and had lots of great information. The only thing that would have improved my experience was to be given 5 or so minutes in the rooms with the poster displays. The had some good information and pictures that would have added to my experience.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and kind. The experience was great. Our only negative is that we wish she had used an audio vox or some kind of audio system so we could hear what she was saying. All tour guides need them because sometimes we could hear other guides talking in other languages so loudly in we couldn't hear our guide.

Monica was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable about the subject and you could tell she cared about the material. Very good experience.

This is the tour I needed 20 years ago. In 2004, my husband and I visited Dachau. We did a self-guided tour. We read the signs, walked around, and left feeling that we learned a lot. Good trip. No complaints. For context, in 2004, Dachau did not have English-speaking, handheld personal electronic devices. We had to stop and read everything. It took all day to understand the themes of the different parts of the camp. When you don’t know what the most significant parts of the museum/camp are, it’s easy to pass them by without realizing their significance. This time (2024), I brought my 19-year-old son. The tour guide added value that a self-guided tour can not provide. I liked 2024 with a tour guide better. Our guide (Aileen) provided summaries of the purpose of the camp, who was held there, what went on in each part of the camp, and pointed out major areas of interest that I don’t remember from 20 years ago. Informational tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tips for anyone considering this tour. If you want time to slowly walk around and read things on your own, this is not your tour. This tour is fast-paced and rich in background information. You will not be bored. This is the tour I wish I took 20 years ago. If you want more time at Dachau, just stay until closing after the tour. Google maps is your friend. Just navigate from Dachau Memorial back to Marienplatz (or wherever you want to go).

Very nice guide, pretty, very informative and professional, never worried about time, knows her history!

Our English tour guide Sam was outstanding with his knowledge of Dachau and was happy to answer any questions that were asked. He aIso had to guide 24 people to Dachau by tram, train and bus, which is not easy. I would not hesitate in recommending this tour and especially Sam to be anyone's tour guide. He was amazing!!
