You will be picked up by your private driver tour guide from your hotel or port at 10 am (weekend tours can be started early). After an hour's drive, you will arrive at the 600-year-old Water Town Zhujiajiao which is often compared to Venice.

Kezhi garden established in 1912 is a nice spot to appreciate the Chinese private gardens. It is dotted with pavilions, ponds, and bridges which add to the beauty of the natural landscape.

Fangsheng Bridge

Of Zhujiajiao’s 36 ancient bridges, the standout must be the graceful, 72m-long, five-arched Fangsheng Bridge, first built in 1571 with proceeds from a monk’s 15 years of alms-gathering. It passes over a wide expanse of water, reminiscent of sections of Venice's famous waterways. From here you will have a boat ride to get an idea of the old time life style in Southern China, and you can take some photos of the water town. After the boat ride, you will be walking along the old alleyways to see more local buildings and bridges.

Built-in 1903, the old post office witnessed the development of China’s postal service. It is not a huge place but it's nice to walk through the old wooden building's interior, with mildly interesting exhibits such as vintage postcards and an imperial postie's uniform.
