We had a fabulous half day tour with Fortune our very informative tour guide. Unfortunately we didn’t see any giraffes however it was a very hot day and I’m sure they were hiding out of the sun. If you only have limited time in Durban this is the perfect safari for you. Very comfortable 4x4 and a memorable experience.

Went to the 1st Zulu Safari Tour with my family. Our tour guide was Fortune, who was a really nice individual and answered the many questions my dad asked about the safari and Durban in general. He made sure we had plenty of stops so we could use the toilet. He made sure we had the best views and gave us plenty of time to take pictures. Highlight of the trip was feeding the elephants and the Lion-s blocking us from leaving which was quite funny. The Tala reserve had an array of animals which was wonderful to see, we got up and close with the Zebras and surprisingly they did not run away. We saw the Rhinos at the end of the tour as we were leaving, which was amazing to see such an endangered species. Fortune dropped us closer to where we were staying which was so helpful to get home. Really recommend going on this tour and with this tour guide.

The AC was not working properly and we were very uncomfortable. Many animals I didn't see because I was on the wrong side of the car.

1st Zulu Safaris was top notch, staying in contact and answering all questions prior to our excursion. Most importantly our guide Benson was just great. Friendly and helpful ensuring we saw our giraffes though not easy on our day!!

Feeding the elephants and getting close up to be 5 lions. Our guide Jeam was outstanding. Taking us into parts of the preserve the venue’s large jeeps could not get to. That is why we got to see 4 of the Big five in Tala while the other cruisers from our ship excursion saw little to none animals. Jeam was very knowledgeable and professional.

Our guide was very friendly. He made our tour incredible. He never gave up to find animals within the reserve and made sure we can feed the elefants by buying apples for us. He told us a lot about the animals, such as rhinos and their weights and made sure we have the best experience. We booked the 6 hour tour but he even continued without looking at the time.

Despite the poor weather a good tour. The guide made sure we got to see many animals. Guide was good and the transport was comfortable. Feeding the elephants at Natal Lion park was a highlight, as was getting close to the lions.

Renee_J

Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and went to great lengths to make certain we saw all of the animals. He stopped for photo opportunities, and sometimes repositioned so that anyone from any seat could see and take pictures. We enjoyed a memorable day.
