Your Itinerary

Jaen Cathedral

The Cathedral of Jaén was conceived in the 16th century. Our first stop, inside the temple, will be one of the largest choirs we have in our country, baroque style, and divided into two parts, those occupied by the local government and the bishopric. Next, we will head towards the presbytery, whose interior tabernacle, in neoclassical style, was designed by the prestigious Madrid architect Ventura Rodríguez. Afterwards, we will walk towards the main chapel, a space where the Holy Face of Jesus and the Virgin of Antigua are kept safe, dating from the end of the 14th century. Then, as a final touch, we will see the crown jewels of this Cathedral, its Chapter House and Sacristy, both of which, in addition to being designed, were also built by the master stonemason Andrés de Vandelvira. Finally, we will climb the stairs to go up to the high galleries of the temple and delight in the best views of both the exterior and interior of our Cathedral.

Admission Included

Fuente de los Canos

We will begin the visit to the Jewish Quarter of Jaén at the Caños fountain, Francisco del Castillo's watering fountain. We will continue along Rostro Street to travel through those labyrinthine and narrow streets more typical of other times.

Centro Cultural Banos Arabes

The Arab Baths of Jaén are the only Muslim baths that have survived to this day out of up to five that the city once had. We will access it by previously visiting some room of the imposing Villardompardo Palace. Once in the bathrooms, we will visit each of its rooms; the Lobby, the Cold Room, the Warm Room and the Hot Room.

Admission Included

Iglesia de la Magdalena

(Pass by)

We will see from the outside the Magdalena Church, the only parish in the city that, despite being Christian, still maintains vestiges of one of the largest mosques in Jaén. We will also dedicate a few minutes to our prestigious Jaén Lizard, of which we will learn about its legend.

Judería de Jaén

Walk through the labyrinthine streets of the Jewish quarter towards the most beautiful squares of the city of Jaén, discovering its hidden symbology and the heritage recovery carried out in recent years.
