We arrived by chance on a lovely, sunny afternoon just in time for high tide. We first walked to Demoiselle Beach where the water was wild & choppy. We then walked back up & visited all the viewing platforms. Next morning we returned in the rain & wind for low tide. Timed it just right for a guided walk along the beach which was interesting & took us as far as the emergency platform. Our guide advised against going any further in that direction due to the rocks being slippery. We then had time to explore on our own & take photos. We continued right along the beach in the opposite direction & up the access ramp - well worth doing. To be honest we were prepared to be underwhelmed by Hopewell Rocks but we found them impressive.

This is a definite must do. To see low tide and high tide is perfect. But if you had to choose one, definitely go at low tide so you can walk through the entire rocks/park. there was a guide at the floor bed to tell you about the tides and all manner of rock, the area and wild life, etc.very informative. It was pouring rain the day we went. Stopped in at the restaurant after our walk. The food was excellent and priced reasonably. Tammy, our server was super.

As suggested very interesting and very, very crowded. Lots of other places to access the coast east of Alma and much less popular. Excellent visitor centre. The hanging rock park trail on The Digby Neck is equally spectacular, accessible and quiet…worth the detour.

What a thrill walking on the ocean floor. 101 steps back up or take the ramp back up. Went down the ramp to the floor and walked over to the steps to go up. Beware of dangerous wet rocks to climb over getting to stairs. Staff are helpful. The shuttle from entrance to steps is recommended. You have to pay to ride the shuttle.

This is one of the great highlights of visiting the Bay of Fundy. The rocks themselves are eye-catching and they lend perspective to the Bay’s profound tides. We went two days in a row, once at high tide, the other at low tide, and were able to sense the variation. It has a golf cart service you can spend $2CN to drive you down to the stairs leading to the rocks, or you can hike the quarter mile. It has a full dining room and the largest gift shop we saw anywhere on our trip to the eastern provinces.

Came here for a visit last week. Usually, we we go down the set of stairs and hang around there a few minutes and leave, this time, we did the entire park, entire trail from ome end to the other which took over an hour. Very much worth the visit and stop! Will be back for sure!

We were told this was a worthwhile tourist site. They were right. We got there just as the tide was going out and allowed access to a mile (or so) of beach. The rocks were spectacular. Quite a walk down to the beach by stairs or a ramp. Wheelchairs would be difficult to use. Bring your camera, this is quite the tourist destination.

If you're wondering whether to pay to walk on a muddy beach and watch the tide go in or out the answer is YES. The interactive Visitor Centre is great, and the staff on site are knowledgeable about the massive tidal differences that make this place so unique. Do check out the tide times in advance and try to get there when you can down on the beach: wandering around between the rock formations is amazing, and you do get to appreciate how big some of the stacks are from the ground. But, do wear appropriate footwear : the beach can be muddy and it's often difficult to distinguish rocks from mud. It's well worth stopping at all the viewpoints from the 800m pathway and also doing the quiet 1.5km walk to Demoiselle Beach. If you have mobility issues there is a shuttle bus as some of these are a little steep. There are also kayaks for hire, and a restaurant, so you could easily spend all day here and see low and high tide: otherwise you probably need a couple of hours. Your ticket is also good for 2 days, so you could do low tide one day and high the next.
