Wonderful experience, and most sweet guides! Through hail and rain!! Beautiful horses and grounds! Even gave us hail coats

We weren’t able to go into the national forest because of elk season, but it was still a great experience! The staff seemed very knowledgeable and the views were beautiful!

The scenery. I wished we saw more. Didn’t know it was hunting season and we couldn’t take usual route. Didn’t need to go on the road up a hill just to turn around and go back down the road. Wish we had more into a nature trail

I choose "average" for the experience due to the two ladies who were with our group on the ride who were very nice and helpful, otherwise I would have said this was a poor experience. I am not a PETA person but I felt I should have been the day of the ride as I felt the condition of the stable and corral area was disturbing. Also, I do not have a ranch or farm to understand horse care but seeing so many horses crowded in a such a small area where they really can't move at all was disturbing to see, plus the horses only get water when someone takes each horse one at a time to a water bucket. The horses that we road who were out of the corral area and tied to a long log were given water in the bucket before we got on them and hopefully they all got water in that bucket when we got back from our ride. The entire area was extremely muddy and all the horses were covered in mud. Also, be prepared to wait for your ride to start. The time given for the ride is really when the pretalk starts and horses are still being saddled for the ride so the actually start time can be a lot later (almost an hour). Also, we were not told ahead of time that the area we "thought" we were going to see was not going to be where we road. It is "hunting" season in the area so our ride consisted of the land the ranch owned which was mostly just the pasture out front of the ranch. I was also told it was the end of the season for horseback riding and all of the horses were going to Utah to get a much needed break. I hope that is the case and is the only silver lining to this excursion. And there are NO refunds so be sure to ask a lot of questions before you plan to go. I can not recommend this excursion or ranch in the condition it was in. Hopefully the review will help the owners decide to clean up the place and create a better area for the horses so visitors do not have to experience what I saw. I do not like to leave a negative review but I felt strongly about this experience and therefore hoping it will create change at this place.

Nice ride but could not go in wooded trails because it was elk hunting season. So we don’t see any wild life,

Really good experience with a horse riding. It was my first time and everyone must go at least once.

Great young F guide. I was by far the oldest rider, and was made to feel welcome by the group. Our guide gave us a quick western riding lesson which was helpful.

Nelda_W

Guide was great. We were suppose to have 5 in group only 2 showed up. She was relaxed and gave us great info about area and what it was like to work on ranch

Jennifer_R

They were extremely patient with my 7 year old daughter and helped her ride the entire way. Even though it rained we still had a great time!

The riding was nice and Aspen our guide was excellent. Trail horses are trail horses and we got what we expected with the ride. The best part was the view from the top of the mountain range. We don't recommend staying at the ranch. That experience was terrible. Stay somewhere else but come take a ride with Aspen.
