As a complete novice, I booked onto this day course with very little knowledge or skill. But by the end of the day, with Ilgin’s expert tuition I had produced a yummy loaf. Since the course, I have now baked about a dozen - the first few shaky but still delicious - and now feel like an old hand. I would really recommend this course for those wanting to develop a skill. Ilgin is also a lovely host (the class is in her kitchen), a knowledgable chemist and a passionate foodie. Even if you don’t use those new skills, it is a very lovely way to spend a day.

The course was so worthwhile. The teaching advice resources and support were great . Even though I was a complete beginner for sourdough making I managed to make a loaf that tasted as good as I have had anywhere. The other people on the course were great too. I would recommend this course very highly.

I cannot rate this course highly enough – I attended just over a week ago and am already on my 3rd home baked loaf and keeping my starter nice and healthy in the meantime. Ilgin explains everything so well and with such passion – I never realised just how much there is to know about Sourdough baking. If you have any interest in sourdough I would highly recommend Ilgin's course. The day was very well structured and with only 4 of us, it was very personal. She is incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgeable. There is more than enough space in her beautiful home and she provided a fantastic lunch. Not to mention all of the great things you get to take home.
