Your Itinerary

The Needles

Upon arrival at the island, you will proceed to the Needles Park, a truly natural area with its iconic lighthouse. The Needles are a series of three distinct limestone stacks that rise off the sea from the west end of the island near the Alum Bay. Since 1859, at the West side of the formation, there has been a lighthouse designed by Scottish civil engineer James Walker and is an extraordinary attraction. You will be able to take a chairlift and enjoy the amazing view of the cliffs and beaches on the shore of Needles. (Please ask for a winter time table or operation).

Alum Bay Glass

The world-renowned Alum Bay Glass shop offers handmade, unique British glass articles directly from the Isle of Wight. The production of fine glassware has fascinated people for centuries, part magic and part science. On the Isle of Wight, the glassmakers of Alum Bay continue this traditional craft, forging shining iridescent patterns, light shades, daring contrasts and delicate pastels from a range of materials such as silver and gold. You will be able to see qualified craftsmen demonstrating a live show and you will have the chance to fill a glass with layers of various coloured Alum Bay sand. In the glass shop, you can purchase stunning souvenirs as well.

Isle of Wight Pearl

The next stop in your itinerary is Isle of Wight Pearl Factory. This island treasure celebrates its 30th anniversary. Not just an inescapable collection of pearl gems, but also a stunning cliff-top view of the English Channel, a butterfly meadow and a cafe. You will find out more thanks to a 30-minute-long fun and informative talk about the fascinating world of pearls. Discover the culture, cultivation and transformation of pearls into beautiful jewellery.

Godshill Model Village

After the pearl of the island you will head towards one of the most popular villages of England. Godshill is a stunning village in the heart of Isle of Wight and boasts some of the island's oldest architecture. Godshill is as picturesque as it is popular with its lovely medieval church, charming chaffed cottages and a winding main street bordered by traditional tearooms. The Ford Farm was also renowned for having hosted the first Isle of Wight Festival in 1968. Regardless of your interests, during a visit, Godshill has plenty to do. The village also has an interesting collection of traditional tea rooms offering local crafts and products such as ciders, pickles, mustards and biscuits. Godshill has a popular and very detailed village model where you will feel like Gulliver.

Admission Included

All Saints Church

The medieval All Saints Church (which has given its name to the village) overlooks the town from the slopes of the hill and climbs steeply up the steps on Church Hollow road. You will fall in love. Whether you're looking for a traditional cream tea or a delicious evening meal, in Godshill you'll find an outstanding selection of food. The tea rooms are frequently visited by locals and are family-friendly and the local pubs are equipped with high beams and cosy fireplaces. Godshill is a great place to visit in the centre of Isle of Wight.

Sandown

Your final stop in the Isle of Wight is beautiful Sandown Beach. Sandown Beach is one of the finest and best-known beaches on the Isle of Wight, with miles of soft golden sands crowned by the pier of Sandown. Sandown has a traditional holiday beach which you'd expect from an English family beach, popular among tourists and surfers. The Esplanade in Sandown offers typical seaside cafes as well as souvenir shops and beach shops, whereas the pier is full of fun and crazy golf courses. There are several outlet sites to rent for camping on the beach and you can make teas and coffees and eat hot chips with salt and vinegar while you sit on the beach. The beach also has lounge facilities to rent for your lazy time under the southern sun.
