Avery and CJ took us on a short trip offshore to two excellent dive spots. Avery has a great eye for spotting tiny creatures, and we were also lucky enough to see turtles, two octopus, and a reef shark. The zodiac boat zips you right out there, and although it's small and you definitely need to hold on, CJ's navigation helped minimize the jostling. All gear was provided and in excellent condition, and the crew prioritized safety for divers of all levels. Highly recommend!

My wife and I did a 2 tank boat dive adventure and it was great! Captain CJ and Divemaster Dave made it a fun, comfortable trip. Sheraton Caverns was the highlight. Would dive with again!

I did one day of shore dives (one rehabilitationand reactivation dive and one shore dive), and two days (4 dives) of boat dives. All were on the Southern part of the ocean. I am very happy with all the dives. The divemasters (I got to dive with three masters) were all experienced, professional and friendly, equipments were relatively new and well maintained, and the captains of the boat were all experienced and nice. We got to find a Manta Ray, and we approached with the boat, and the captain let us swin with the Manta Ray in-between boat dives one day! I am a fairly experienced diver (close to 100 dives) and saw a lot of dive shops over time and this place was one of the best ones I think. Recommeded without hesitation.

TLDR: Malfunctioning equipment, bad dive planning, terrible customer service. Go with one of the many other companies on the island. For reference, I am an experienced diver (200+) dives and have worked with dive companies in over 7 countries. Issues with this company over three days of diving: - terrible equipment: I had a leak in my BCD/LPI hose for two of the three days. Instead of fixing/replacing my equipment (despite me pointing the leak out before entering the water), the guide just disconnected my lpi hose underwater and I was unable to add air to my bcd from that point on - dives times: for all three guides that I went with over six dives, i came back with close to half my tank in all of the dives. None of my dives touched the 60 mins time that is generally followed by all other dive shops. They ended all dives once the first diver ran out of air. I have never experienced this with any dive company anywhere else in the world. - diver pairing: for two of the three days of diving, I was put in groups with new divers (first few dives post cert). As a result, the guide was so absorbed with keeping track of the new divers that the guide failed to even look in my direction during the dives and barely made an effort to point out anything worth seeing underwater. - customer service: Elaine was incredibly rude and arrogant over the phone For those wondering why I even did three days of diving with this company, unfortunately I had purchased a three-dive package and was stuck since I did not want to deal with their customer service to get a refund. Don’t make the same mistake I did - there are multiple other dive companies on the south side (Seasport, Fathom Five, etc) that will definitely be a big step over the low bar set by Dive Kauai.

This is my second trip to Kauai where I dove with Dive Kauai and I'm sure it won't be the last. They are my go-to company on the island. I had two two-tank dives on this visit. They have great dive masters who aren't just well-educated/trained but also just fun. Enjoyed the boat dive, particularly the caverns site as well as the night dive at Koloa Landing. That's a must for me every visit.

Claire (divemaster) and Cali (another employee of Dive Kauai who was logging extra dives) and Captain Brandon were fantastic! After a thorough, confidence inspiring safety briefing (we even knew about how the two fire extinguisher systems work and how to shut off the fuel to the engines) we went to the General Store, where we saw a white tipped shark among many other things. For our surface interval, we went to the last Kaua'i queen's house and botanical garden where Cali gave a history lesson and Claire prepared all our equipment for the second dive. We went to three fingers and after Claire jumped in and checked out the conditions, she decided we would be better off going to Sheraton Caverns! I'm really glad we did, because it was AMAZING! We swam through caverns and saw so many corals, fish, and turtles. At first, I was a bit nervous about the size of the waves in the open ocean. It was my first time boat diving. However, Claire made me feel comfortable the entire time. She checked our air multiple times while diving, and I had zero worries. Diving in Kaua'i is certainly majestic! Getting back on the boat was super easy. I strongly recommend Dive Kaua'i and I can't wait to go back and dive with them more. Both the shore diving and the zodiac boat diving I did with them were awesome!

Wonderful boat, dive equipment, and super friendly staff. Dive master took us on a drift dive that was superb! Also the caverns dive which had breathtaking rock arches and tons of turtles.

As a divemaster I might be a bit more demanding than most divers. The diver trip with the Dive Kauai was great. Logan is a very good guide and a great diver. The dive operations are very safe and by the book. The Zodiac boats are very well maintained and fun to dive from. If you dove the Caribbean waters, don’t expect the same – the water is a bit cooler and the sea life is more sparce. In a 3mm suit I felt a bit chilly at 72F at the bottom. You will see a ton of great turtles and reefs formed from lava (corral growing on top of a structures formed by lava). Sheraton Caverns are a must if you like swim throughs and want to see the Hawaiian type of a lava reef. Another benefit of diving with Dive Kauai is their location close to the Poipu Beach and leaving from a local small boat harbor (vs. Port Allen that many larger boats leave from).

We did four dives with Dive Kauai, the twilight/night dives from Koloa Landing and the zodiac boat dives. Both experiences were great, the dive masters were knowledgeable and helpful and the boat crew was professional. We saw some interesting sea life, and even some humpback whales during the surface intervals. We picked Dive Kauai because they include the price of the rental gear in the overall price. We found it to be more cost effective.

I had a fantastic diving experience with Drew, Dom, and captain Dayton. The crew was already at the small harbor setting up by the time I got there 15 min early. Not having to bring any gear was a breeze, as was their option to swap out a mouthpiece that's yours to keep after. We got to dive Sheraton Caverns which was awesome, swimming through caves and tunnels, seeing turtles hiding in all nooks and crannies. Boat ride itself was quick and easy. Wish I stayed on Kauai longer to do more dives!
