NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

Calling all space enthusiasts! This deluxe touring experience at Kennedy Space Center will provide you with the ultimate space adventure. Upon arrival you will get a special meet and greet welcome from a NASA astronaut! This welcome presentation occurs on Wednesday and Saturdays (based in Astronaut availability). Next it's into the world’s most comprehensive attraction devoted to the Space Shuttle Atlantis. Get up close to this priceless spacecraft as only astronauts have seen it before. There are more than 60 interactive, touch-screen experiences and high-tech simulators that allow you to “be the astronaut”. Prior to lunch you can take a "ride" on the Shuttle Launch Experience or watch the IMAX movie. Next it's time to feast on a buffet lunch and watch a presentation from an astronaut. Then you'll have the opportunity for photos and autographs. After lunch you'll then take the DISCOVER KSC bus tour. This 2-hour tour within Kennedy Space Center takes you near the former shuttle launch pads. Based on availability, the bus tour stops in the Vehicle Assembly Buildings where you can take photos outside. This tour shows you areas not seen on the regular bus tours. You'll end your tour at the Saturn V Center where you can walk under the Saturn V rocket and touch a piece of moon rock. This tour doesn't allow much free time in the space center as it is pretty structured day. Great time, guides were VERY helpful in how to see as much as one could see, Our bus guide was very informative on how to schedule your visit at the space center and avoid crowd surges. She made a big difference in the education on preparing our time. Well worth it. And be advised, a person off our bus was 20 min later and despite many attempts to contact the person they did not show up and was left behind, to Uber back!

We had an amazing day. Angelina our tour guide created an itinerary for everyone on our bus to maximise the day. Met with retired astronaut Ken Cameron who flew the Atlantis space shuttle. Well worth a visit

Our Grey Line guide, Oscar, kept us informed and entertained during the bus journey to and from Orlando and his suggested an itinerary for our visit to the complex worked perfectly. The space centre itself is well worth a visit (this was my 3rd time), even without the additional chat with an astronaut experience that we did on this occasion. Try to get there for opening time, and get the free and frequent bus to the Saturn V exhibit early in the day so you can spend some quality time there, taking in views of the active launch areas and Vehicle Assembly Building on the way. Upon arrival you'll experience a reconstruction of the launch of Apollo 8, before making your way to the main hall, the entire length of which houses a complete, unused Saturn V rocket and lunar module. Don't forget to touch the piece of moon rock! On your return, do not miss the brilliant and moving Atlantis exhibit, which is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. The pre-shows and entrance to the main hall is worth the ticket price alone and will bring tears to your eyes. And NASA doesn't shy away from the difficult stuff, either: this exhibit pays tribute to the crews of Challenger and Columbia and their families, along with respectful displays of recovered wreckage. At your leisure, enjoy the new Gateway Deep Space Launch exhibits and ride experiences, complete with a used SpaceX SRB and the next generation of craft that will take us to the moon and beyond. All the while, the rocket garden looms large near the entrance to the complex, alongside the new Heroes and Legends building, containing exhibits from the early years of space travel, including a Gemini capsule. The on-site walking tour guides and other staff are knowledgeable and friendly and will answer any additional questions you will no doubt have about the exhibits. As for the chat with an astronaut, where else could you sit down with such amazing people and have them personally tell you about their experiences in space and answer all your burning questions, while enjoying the snacks and drinks provided? These guys are generally on a rota basis which is advertised on the KSC website so you can see who you're going to meet beforehand. We met with Woody Spring, who fascinated us with details from his trip onboard the first ever flight of Atlantis. The gift shop sells clothing and other souvenirs that are only available here, although they are available through their website which offers shipping 'anywhere in the galaxy'! You will find everything very reasonably priced, especially when compared with other theme parks and attractions in the area. There is so much to do here and you will not be able to fit it into a single day, but it is one of the most amazing places you'll ever visit. I look forward to my 4th visit in the not-too-distance future.

Great experience, picked up on time, lovely comfortable coach and Angelina had laid out a great day for us, explaining how to get the best out of our day. She tailored an itinerary for us that meant we got to see so much of the park and, without it, I'm sure we would have missed so much. It's such a large park you really need a couple of days to get round it and do all the activities so having a guide tailor a tour to our timings (we'd booked the Lunch with an Astronaut, which was tremendous) made a big difference

Highly recommend. Highlight of many highlights on the day was the chat with an astronaut includes food and drinks for 45mins. Also loved Atlantis - space shuttle and simulator ride, the rocket garden talk, gateway - spaceport rides, bus trip to Apollo/Saturn v centre, imax theatre, and last but not least a big shout out to Bonni our tour guide who was fun, informative and made everyone feel welcome!

Very enjoyable experience from start to finish. Nice clean coach and fantastic informative tour guide. Kennedy Space Center was one of our best days out, all the family 2 adults 19yr and 8yr old learnt something whilst being fun and exciting.

There are many options to choose from when booking Kennedy Space centre visit but we really liked the chat with the astronaut bit as these experiences are so valuable. We met with Fred Gregory who is a retired astronaut and loved listening to his experiences. Our guide Jacqueline have perfect instructions on what places to visit and how to maximise on our experience and her tips really Helped. We had a really nice experience. You don’t get to take the pics with the astronaut even though you have an exclusive experience with him, this was the only thing I wish was added to the list.
