    Amazing trip in Knuckles. Nero is a charming, helpful and very professional guide, with a lot of knowledge and in-depth and detailed explanations for everything we asked, and all this in fluent and clear English. The trip included transportation from Kandy and back, coffee, tea, snacks, a delicious lunch and water that they carried for us. The route was stunning and was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my trip. I highly recommend a trip to Knuckles in general and Nero as a guide in particular.

    Nero is a wonderful guide with a lot of knowledge. He was recommended by a friend. He has a flair for working with people. Along the way, he explains and shows many things about plants and animals. I haven't noticed this in other guides who were there with other people. All in all, a great experience. Great views! Drinks and food are always available to you. He even accommodated us by taking us to buy black tea because we expressed a wish.

    Great hiking day! We wanted to experience the Knuckles and admire the surroundings around Kandy. Thanks to Nero we had a great day out, hiking 13 km while getting to waterfalls and different view points. Absolutely recommend it!

    We were on two tracks: the first track to five waterfalls, it was simply wow, a lot of water, an amazing view, a trip through the tea fields, lust for the eyes. The second route was in the mountains, including waterfalls and an amazing view, we walked in the rice fields. In the evening we slept in a lovely camp with a staff that provided excellent service, a good dinner and even light a fire for us for the evening. Nero the guide is very knowledgeable, answers every question, knows every tree and every mountain. The experience with him was the best.

    What to expect

    The Knuckles Mountain Range lies in central Sri Lanka, in the Districts of Matale and Kandy. The range takes its name from a series of recumbent folds and peaks in the west of the massif which resemble the knuckles of clenched fist when viewed from certain locations in the Kandy District. The higher montane area is often robed in thick layers of cloud. Knuckles Conservation Forest was included in UNESCO natural world heritage list in 2010 as part of Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. Knuckles mountain range features 34 peaks ranging in height between 1900 meters and 900 meters. Five high mountain peaks of the range having formed in the shape of a clenched fist, the British in Ceylon named the mountain range Knuckles.
