Wow, what a fantastic tour!! We had an amazing day. Ben was our driver and guide, and he was awesome! He was very entertaining and full of amazing facts and stories about the history of the areas we were visiting. The Moors are beautiful, and we loved Whitby. Ben gave everyone great suggestions on what to see and do, and he helped the day go by smoothly. We would definitely recommend this tour! Thanks for a fantastic and memorable day Ben!

We thoroughly enjoyed our day exploring the moors and the beautiful town of Whitby. John S was full of interesting information and stories. He went the extra mile to ensure we all enjoyed our time. We decided to visit the Abbey (extra cost on trip) which was an amazing ruin to see although overpriced. As an Australian the Endeavour replica in Whitby was tacky considering how significant it is to our history. I wondered if they would commercialise the Mayflower or Golden Hind if they had the chance. The town is very pretty and filled with cafes and points of interest. Well done mountain tours, much appreciated. 😊

Great views. Very knowledgeable guide. Knew history but geography as well. Enjoyed the Abbey ruins. Bank holiday made Whitby very crowded.

This small group tour allowed for a lot of flexibility in the schedule. We were able to pull over for quick spontaneous photo ops and saw much more than the posted itinerary promised. The steam train ride from Goathland Station to Whitby was a special bonus treat! Barry was a helpful and informative driver/tour leader (although it made me nervous to see him reading the script as he drove!). With our group's permission, he took a more rural route back to the city, showing us additional areas and still getting us back on time. This was definitely a great way to see parts of North Yorkshire that I wouldn't have seen on my own!

Thescenery of the moors and being almost alone at byland abbey was worth the day out- made even better by a short steam train ride. Well organised and a great guide .

Great tour! Our guide John was fantastic and went the extra mile since we started the journey. Beautiful places all the way where large buses can't reach. He was so Yorkshire a 100% and gave us lots of stories every step of the tour. Loved the silent valley with the 1.000 years old church in the middle of nowhere! Whitby is a nice beach town, little bit too crowed for my taste. Do not miss the Saint Mary's Abbey and the 199 steps down. Great views! A must do tour while in York. Don't forget to ask for John and you'll end up singing with him a Beatles song. Five stars! Thanks a lot John.

Fantastic day out with John as our driver. So knowledgeable, talked us through everything, beautiful scenery, history. A trip on a steam train from Goathland to Whitby . And a bonus quiz on the way home, with John's singing too!! Fabulous, thoroughly recommended

What a wonderful way to cap a long weekend of what was my first visit to Yorkshire. Our amiable, knowledgeable driver Barry took us on a full-sensory journey through medieval ruins, quaint towns, and literary history. We saw ancient Yew trees, millions of pheasants, highland cattle, and heather stretching for miles across the North York Moors; we also learnt that hippos once roamed the landscape: who knew! Highly recommended day out for those wishing to learn more about Yorkshire's history, and experience the unique beauty of its countryside.
