This tour provided a great way to visit Mt Vernon. The tour bus was comfortable, and the guide was very informative as we drove through Old Town Alexandria and while we were traveling to and from Mt Vernon. Once we arrived at Mt Vernon, we toured the estate with information provided by the docents there.

The History of the mansion and Old Towne Alexandria. We learned so much about the area and the First President.

We had a great guide, Brittany, who made the trip informative and refreshing. She was well prepared and had tans of historical knowledge that helped us understand the context of Mount Vernon. The tour at Mount Vernon was perfect in its timing and content. The only recommendation is to inform the guests that there is an alternative to the cafeteria. There is actually a very nice restaurant where you can order off a menu with great sounding salads and entrees. The cafe leaves a lot to be desired. We wish we knew about the restaurant!! But be sure to spend some time in the museum. It also has great historical information....

Unfortunately, the bus ride was very noisy with constant rattling that was so loud we couldn’t hear the tour guide. We were at the back of the bus, but the ticket price is the same, so I still expect a comfortable ride and tour. The seat belt didn’t work which I really needed since I literally caught air multiple time with the bumpy road and speed of the drive. (Teenagers liked it since they like roller coaster rides.) The tour at Mount Vernon was very nice. I’d recommend finding a better mode of transportation so you can enjoy the tour guide’s information along the drive as well.

Very interesting. Visitor buildings, cafe etc very modern but the poor old main attraction seemed to suffer from tourist wear and in some places a strange lack of investment/care. Good tour staff.

Hearing the history of Mt Vernon, the good and the bad. It was also very special to sit in the pew that George Washington sat in at Christ's Church. Our tour guide, Dionne, was exceptional and knowledgeable and our driver was very helpful also.

The tour was great with many additional stops, and Terri provided excellent information at each. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see Mount Vernon and learn more about Alexandria and our first president.

Please DO NOT let this reflect on our tour guide. Christopher did a marvelous job but we didn't get to stop in Old Town Alexandria and that was supposed to be part of the trip!!! It also said we would get a picture in front of the church and THAT never happened. Also, the NEW ROOM at Mt. Vernon is under construction and that should be divulged. Just disappointed that we were SHORT CHANGED.

Dion was our tour guide on this excursion and what a phenomenal person he is. His knowledge is immense and he made the day out extremely interesting for all of us. It was my birthday and I chose to go on this trip as my birthday treat and I am so glad that I did, it was the perfect day out, we also had amazing weather and Mount Vernon if definitely worthy of a visit. If there was a downside it was that we did not get to stop in Alexandria or visit the river front of Alexandria on our way pass.
