Vesuvius National Park
Mount Vesuvius (tickets and alpine guide in a small group included) : it is best known for its eruption in AD 79 that led to the burying and destruction of the Roman cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Oplontis and Stabiae. You will be able to visit the volcano, which reaches an altitude of 4,203-feet (1,281-meters). From there the crater can be reached on foot by using a path that is 0.75-miles (1,200-meters) long that takes you to the summit of the volcano.
