We told the Private Behind the Berlin Wall and Cold War Berlin Tour with Paul and it was amazing. Paul is extremely knowledgeable about the Berlin Wall, the Cold War, German history, and Munich in general. We met him near the Brandenburg gate where we started our tour and he immediately engaged our family with an interesting conversation about the historical context of what we would be seeing on the tour. The entire walking tour was fascinating and we stopped at all the expected sites but Paul also pointed out many other things along the way. He also gave us some great suggestions for lunch, coffee etc. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learned a tremendous amount. Highly recommend this tour and Paul as a guide.

We took the Private Behind the Berlin Wall and Cold War Berlin Tour with Paul and it was fantastic!!! We saw and learned so much of Berlin’s history! He was very knowledgeable! Paul was flexible with the schedule and the sites to visit. We had taken a different tour the day before and it included a monument scheduled on this tour, so he gave us the option of skipping it or going to it again. He was very considerate of my elderly parents and their speed of walking. We never felt rushed. He made sure to point out steps to ensure their safety. He was so friendly and fun to get to know. He made sure we had a rest at a cafe he recommended that is popular in Berlin. They had delicious coffee and pastries! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this tour and Paul as a guide!

This tour was absolutely amazing! Paul did an excellent job educating our group on the facts from the Cold War, the Berlin Wall, the City as a whole, and answering all other miscellaneous questions that we had for him. Paul was very timely, met us with a smile in an easy location to find, and provided plenty of tour options along the way! The inclement weather did not hamper his spirits, as he remained extremely professional throughout the tour. We were all absolutely astonished of his ability to recall facts from history, even when we threw him a few curve balls along the way! Our small group of 5 people agreed that the tour far exceeded our expectations and was well worth the money we spent!

Paul was fantastic, he spent the time to go into detail about the Berlin Wall and the Cold War and answered any of our questions. Would recommend anyone do this tour if you want to learn from an expert guide. It was worth paying extra for a private Tour.

Great tour with the fantastic Aaron - lovely guy, down to earth, easy to chat to, good level of knowledge and lots of good accompanying material to share. Went with my 15-year-old son who is studying the Cold War at school, and we both learned a lot. Would highly recommend.

Steve is exceptionally knowledgeable in the topic and he has a fantastic sense of humor. It did not feel like an official tour and more like a friendly promenade with a friend who happens to be a comedian and a professor of history rolled into one. He adapted the tour to our interests.Highly recommend !

Our tour guide Aaron was incredible. He has a vast knowledge of the history of Berlin and was so enthusiastic. This is a must do!

Beth was a wonderful guide for this walking tour in English. The tour was primarily supposed to be a cold war tour, but since I was also interested in German and Nazi history, Beth gave me a nice introduction to the history of Germany, rise of the Nazi party, WWII and then the division of Germany and Berlin after the war. Beth is a student of history and very knowledgeable and she was happy to tailor the tour according to my specific needs and answer all my questions. We started at Reichstag, visited the Roma and Cinti memorial, Soviet memorial of WW II and made several other stops related to WWII and the Cold War including a stop at Check point Charlie. At the end of the tour, she recommended me to visit Tranenpalast and some other free museums. This was an expensive tour since I was required to pay the price for two even though I was the only one person in the tour. But I am glad that I still took it. A tour like this needs a guide who is knowledgeable and has good command over the language. Beth was fully equipped. I recommend this tour and Beth as a guide. Just be prepared to walk though since you will need to walk for 3- 4 hours to see all these wonderful historical sites!
