My Rothenburg Day Trip departs Nuremberg at 10am and returns to Nuremberg around 6pm, 7 days a week come rain or shine. Rothenburg is known for its medieval town center and its mostly undamaged 14th-century town wall. This tour will take you to all of the interesting, historical sites within the medieval city wall that are integral components of Rothenburg’s rich history. Some of the sites we’ll explore are the Castle Gate and Castle Garden with its view of the Tauber Valley, Plönlein (Little Square) and Siebers Tower, the impressive Spital Bastion, and the Handworker’s House from 1217. After the tour, you’ll have time to visit the Criminal Museum, take a walk along the top of the medieval city wall, or just shop and explore all of the alluring side streets and alleyways within this well-preserved medieval town. We travelled as a family of 5 in December to see the Christmas markets in Rothenburg and learn the history of the town. Kevin was an outstanding guide! He was very knowledgable and friendly. We really enjoyed our time in Rothenburg. The day was a good mix that included a walking history tour, an excellent lunch recommendation and free-time to explore the town on our own. Would highly recommend Kevin's tours to anyone!

This tour was certainly a highlight of our trip. Visiting Rothenburg is truly a special location - understanding the age and history is a plus to seeing the unique architecture. Kevin our tour guide made it even better. He picked us up on time…..with him being a Native American - created no language issues - he was extremely insightful throughout the ride but throughout the city tour and always pointed out unique and interesting facts or sights —the fact is was a personal tour made it so much better than a large group as it allowed him to be more personable and interactive and always allowing and answering questions. He was always accommodating to our requests. He clearly does this a lot but does it well - it never felt robotic or programmed - but yet still was a great and informative tour. If you want a great tour guide that speaks English and really knows what he is doing and talking about Kevin is the one. And if you want to see a really unique and very different city with a long history and in the beautiful Tauber valley - you must go to Rothenburg!

Kevin was great! Our private tour of Rothenburg and Nuremberg was a history lesson, along with one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever eaten. Kevin was an excellent tour guide! My mom, daughter, and I did a Rothenburg tour with him and he gave an excellent overview of the history of the town as well as hit all the highlights. His historical knowledge is excellent and we learned a lot from him. And Rothenburg itself was so lovely I just can't do it justice with words. We did a couple of other tours in Germany and his, by far, was the best. The nice thing about the private tour was being able to pace it to fit our small group. I plan to go back to Germany some day and I hope to book another tour with Kevin.
