Fataga
Stop at Fataga and short walk in the village. This peaceful village perched high in a valley is made up of small, well-preserved white houses and small, narrow, flowery streets. It is surrounded by ravines, pine trees and a lush and unique palm grove.
Museo Etnografico Casa De Los Yanez
Road to the village of San Bartolome de Tirajana located at 890 meters above sea level. We will stop at a traditional 19th century Canarian house transformed into a Museum. This house retains the original furniture as well as other valuable objects belonging to a doctor, the former owner of the house. We will visit the bedrooms, the dining room, the kitchen, the oven and the tool room, his medical office, as well as two rooms which have been adapted to recall the economic activities of the time, which are a weaving room and an oil and vinegar factory. Then we will visit the village church.
Tejeda
Continuation of the road towards the small village of Tejeda which received the award of one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. Walk in the village and lunch in a typical restaurant with local tapas (meals not included).
Cruz de Tejeda
After lunch we will go to Cruz de Tejeda where we will have (if there are not too many clouds) a magnificent view of Tenerife and the “El Teide” Volcano. Cruz de Tejeda marks the geographical center of the island. Stop to take photos and admire the landscape.
Roque Nublo
We will then take the road towards Roque Nublo, considered one of the largest natural rocks in the world. Of special significance to the inhabitants of the island, this rock of volcanic origin rises to an altitude of eighty meters from its base and 1,813 meters above sea level. It is a ancient place of worship for the aborigines. We will follow the 1.5 kilometers to arrive near the natural monument. This trek, which measures three kilometers in its entirety (1 hour walk, uphill return and return), will allow you to admire a breathtaking landscape rewarding the efforts of the route. Please note that excellent physical condition is required. If you do not wish to do the climb we can organize another easier walk. (the Pico de las Nieves which requires no walking).
Santa Lucia de Tirajana
After this climb, we will head towards Santa Lucia de Tirajana. We will stop to take a photo of the Church of Santa LucĂa, a historic-artistic building located at the top of the town which stands out for the structure of its facade in beautiful smoothed stones which, associated with the whiteness and shape of its dome makes it unique. It will then be time to return to your hotel to finish this excursion.
