Arch Canyon

The Arch Canyon trail has many amazing things to see. We start with Butler Tower and then descend off Old 95. We visit Arch Canyon Ruin, and 'the kitchen'. We then view far off ruins, sheer cliffs, tall pinnacles, and many caves. Finally, we come to our picnic area just below an amazing arch. Our return trip we pickup the speed a bit and enjoy the ride.

Butler Wash Archeological Ruin

As part of our tour, we will stop at an overlook that let's see view one of the Anasazi Ruins in Butler Wash.

Our favorite part of the trip was seeing and visiting ruins that would be impossible to view without the side by side experience with Josh. His knowledge of the Arch Canyon enabled us to view sites that were remote and inaccessible.

Our family had a fantastic time on the Arch Canyon tour! Josh was personable, professional, and highly informative. Our family experienced Bears Ears in a very real manner that resonated and will remain on our memories. It was the highlight of our trip our west to see National Parks and Monuments.

Josh shares his knowledge of historic Utah and how San Juan County was settled as a ‘Storyteller’. His tour is a unique and unforgettable experience of geology, topography, and Puebloan Ruins as his UTV takes you to places few vehicles can travel. He is kind, gentle, enthusiastic, respectful and responsive. You will remember this adventurous day forever!

Josh was personable, knowledgable, and fun from the beginning. He was prompt meeting us and the UTVs were shiny clean. That set the tone for what was a highlight for our month-long trip through Utah. The "roads" (I use that term loosely re: the dugway) were exciting yet safe. The killer views were everywhere. Ruins, petroglyphs, etc. were fascinating. All-in-all, we four travelers loved it.

Coming from Moab, we contacted Josh to set us up with a UTV tour of some ruins in the area. I mentioned that we are traveling with 3 teens who are not easily impressed, and Josh crafted an adventure for us that combined both education & thrills. We are first time UTV drivers so I requested "easy" trails, but quickly learned that Josh's definition of easy is not quite the same as ours 😂 we were gripping our seats tightly, crawling down a steep canyon overlook and will never forget that terrifying moment! My favorite part was visiting the Butler Wash ruins up close, while my husband got a kick out of tearing up the trail in the UTV. We were covered in a layer of orange dust afterwards so consider wearing goggles/glasses and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Thanks again Josh for showing us the beauty of Bear's Ears. Hope we can make it back again some day!

He showed us tons of amazing and awesome sites that were along the trail and treated us like gold. I would recommend this adventure to anyone. Perfect for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts. The service was personalized, you'll see scenery and hidden treasures that you would never know were there, except Sunrise knows all of them. Highly recommend, they have many great tours to choose from! I can't wait for our next one!
