What to expect

Are you an aspiring writer? Would you like to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your storytelling while visiting New Orleans, the most literary and evocative city in the USA? Whether you need help with the start of your novel, you need a push to get started, or maybe you just enjoy the craft of writing, I can help you improve, sharpen and strengthen your skills in a focused one-on-one setting. We will meet in a coffee shop frequented by the locals, and I will give you honest but constructive feedback. My professional critique will explain what you did right, what you did wrong, and most importantly, how it can be improved. Give me a complete tale, a small part of a story, or simply stream-of-consciousness musings. Bring your writing with you or email me in advance - you decide the amount of time I spend on reading versus discussion, and you ask the questions you want answered. I suggest you provide about 1,500 words (probably six pages) for me to critique. I think that is enough to discern your strengths and weaknesses, but you are welcome to give me more or less. But remember the more I read in advance, the less time we have for our meeting.
