It was the official residence of Her Majesty The Queen and is still very much a working royal palace today, home to around 150 people. It is also the final resting place of her majesty the late Queen Elizabeth.

In St George's Chapel, the final resting place of Queen Elizabeth II can be seen by visitors on all days the Castle is open to the public, excluding Sundays.
