Your Itinerary

Puente de Isabel II (Puente de Triana)

Next to the famous Triana Bridge we will enjoy incredible views in front of the famous Triana neighborhood. This place on the banks of the Guadalquivir River was the Port of the Indies from which Christopher Columbus and other navigators departed or returned loaded with merchandise from America.

Triana

The Triana neighborhood is one of the neighborhoods with the most personality in Seville because it was the cradle of flamenco, some of the most important bullfighters or the first Moorish ceramic factories.

Iglesia de Santa Ana

This church is considered the Cathedral of Triana by popular sentiment. It was the first Catholic church built in Seville after the end of Muslim rule in the city in 1248 in Mudejar style.

Torre del Oro

The Torre del Oro is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Seville. It was a watchtower built by the Arabs located on the left bank of the Guadalquivir river and originally connected by a gigantic defensive chain with another tower on the Triana bank. At his side, in the city of Seville we will talk about the Real Maestranza bullring, the Maestranza Theater or Magellan's first trip around the world.

Palacio de San Telmo

This Baroque building is today the seat of the Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, although the Palacio San Telmo was built in 1682 to serve as a marine academy, training ship pilots, navigators and high-ranking officers; It is named after San Telmo (San Telmo), the patron saint of seafarers.

Real Alcazar de Sevilla

The word alcazar actually means fortified palace. Since the Middle Ages with the Moors, this walled enclosure has been the residence of kings from different eras, making it the oldest royal palace in Europe. It has recently been used for filming such as Game of Thrones.

Plaza del Cabildo

We arrive at this haven of peace, which we do know belonged to the old College of San Miguel founded in the 13th century by Alfonso X the Wise and was later the residence of the Master of the Cathedral Chapel and the choir boys or sixes (for this reason of the Cabildo or government of the cathedral). Under its painted arches and white marble columns we find antique and philately shops, as well as a candy store from the main cloistered convents in the city.

Real Fabrica De Tabacos

75% of all cigars sold on the continent were made in this building. The story of the famous opera Carmen takes place in the tobacco factory in Seville, where the protagonist, Carmen, a gypsy who worked in the factory, falls in love with one of the soldiers who guarded the building.

Parque de Maria Luisa

It is the most beautiful park in Seville, it was the venue for the Hispano-American Exposition of 1929 and formerly the private gardens of the Palacio de San Telmo. At this stage we will enjoy a pleasant walk through the park and we will make several explanatory stops at the Glorieta de Becquer, Plaza de América, etc.

Plaza de Espana

This jewel of the city was designed in Regionalist styles (fusion of the three architectural styles that we have visited before) by the great Sevillian architect Aníbal González (whose statue we can see there) as an emblematic space of the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929.

Plaza de America

The three aforementioned buildings that are located in the square were built by the architect Aníbal González between 1913 and 1916 for the future Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, each one has a different architectural style.
