This was a fantastic trip and a great way to get an overview of Portugal's coastal area west of Libson between Sintra and Cascais. The tour starts with picking up the e-bikes in Lisbon and taking the train to Sintra. Our guide, Bruno, was very patient and helpful in getting us familiar with bikes, getting us to the train station, and onto the train. And once the bike trip started, he was outstanding at getting us smoothly and safely from point-to-point. Sintra is beautiful and interesting, and clearly a place worth spending some time. The only real downside to this trip, is that there isn't time to linger too long in any one spot. So, we passed through Sintra very quickly, just hitting the highlights of the area, and whetting our appetites to see more (maybe on our next trip!). From there, we rode up and down some pretty intense hills, along narrow, windy roads with cute towns and scenic views to a beautiful restaurant up in the mountains overlooking the Atlantic coast below. Due to the hills, the ride would have been nearly impossible without e-bikes, but with them, it was truly a pleasure. We rested up and re-fueled at lunch for a while, and then headed on through a national park, and down to the coast, before passing through a couple of towns on the way to Cascais. The beach resort town of Cascais is also a very special place, and is another spot on our list of places we would like to explore more on our return to Portugal. We spent just a but of time here before jumping back on a train to return to Lisbon. Definitely a worthwhile day trip from Lisbon if you want to be a bit more active than you would otherwise be walking through these spots.

There were many highlights during our two-week family reunion exploring Lisbon and Madeira, with nothing surpassing the seven-hour bike ride around Sintra. George guided the four of us and he was the perfect one at that, providing the right blend of history and just cruising throughout the beautiful town of Sintra with the wind in your face. George made sure even the slow rider felt comfortable. Sure you could do a dreary walking tour, but I'll take an adventure-filled, ground=covering ride like this any day of the week!

A highlight of our trip to Lisbon! I highly recommend taking this bike tour - it was the fastest and most efficient way to see Sintra and Cascais without sitting in traffic! Daniel, our guide, was fantastic. It was high season so he ran the tour in both French and English (which was super impressive). We covered around 25 miles on very nice e-bikes. We stopped for lunch at a small village and it was delicious - an experience of being a true local. If you have an extra day in Lisbon, and like more adventure than being shuttled around on a bus or in a walking group, then this is the activity for you.

This was one amazing tour! It took more than 7 hours, but we had a chance to see a lot more than expected. E-bikes are well maintained and easy to operate. Our guide Jorge explained to us the history of Portugal and all the places we passed by. He was attentive and patient with us. I would highly recommend this tour! Just make sure you arrive on time at the meeting point, first there’s a train to catch and you don’t want to miss it!

Incredible E bike tour through the city, mountains, rural roads, and beaches. Much further distance and duration then I expected. Would have to say not for those inexperienced with bike riding as we went through heavy traffic, pedestrians, steep hills, and windy conditions. Was amazed that we didn't have to sign a waiver for anything. Stopped at some amazing sights and had breakfast and lunch in great spots.

We ended up having a private tour. Daniel was our guide and was a great guide. I would highly recommend him. The day we went to Sintra was a cloudy day so we didn’t get a chance to see the Peña castle. However Daniel made the effort to take us off the route to a place where we could see it from a distance. The bike ride through the park towards Caiscais was very enjoyable especially when the sunshine and warmth came out. Lunch was okay, but it was our second choice given that the usual restaurant was closed due to the holiday. Bikes are in excellent condition and easy to ride. Would recommend this tour but on a less foggy day.

What a wonderful electric bike tour of Sintra and Cascais. Jorge was our guide and he was excellent! He provided us with the history of the area and insight into Portugal while guiding us and looking after us on our journey. I can’t believe all we saw over the 9 hours of touring. If you want to see villages, castles, beaches, a national park, farms, and enjoy delicious food and conversations with a well read interesting guide, this is the tour for you! We aren’t bikers but were able to manage the terrain with help of the e-bike traveling up some steep hills. All was so enjoyable and I highly recommend the tour and Jorge!

We did not get a chance to experience this event due to very poor communication and identification of the meet up point. My uber dropped me off at the exact address and the coordinator requested that I walk to another location. Please beware!

Absolutely amazing all day ride. Not wating time on crowded touristic spots but leads through real villages and beautiful forest. If you want to visit castles, its not your trip, if you want to enjoy rural land and real places, go for it.

Daniel our guide was excellent, knowledgeable, took care to make sure everyone was OK, and that the bikes were in good working order. It is a breathtaking trip, but even with e-bikes, it will be a challenge for some because of the climbs. This tour shows you many different landscapes and aspects of Portuguese country living. You are in the mountains and down to the sea. All of it is beautiful and it is a nice change from the bigger tourist cities. Be prepared to pay cash for your lunch and do some riding in Lisbon traffic and the town center of Sintra. You will be glad you did.
