Totally loved this tour. Our tour guide Sahar was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the tour and the region she introduced us to. The restaurants gave us their typical dishes from their homeland. So delicious. Just beautifully presented. Well done Taste Tours, very enjoyable tour. Highly recommend.

Had a great time at the Merrylands food tour. The highlight would have to be Noor, our guide, she was lovely, knowledgeable and totally hilarious.. I did think the food at the establishments we went to were not as generous as I’ve had on previous tours but in saying that we certainly didn’t go hungry

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour run by Farhat, she was very open an honest about her journey as well as guiding us expertly though our tour.
The food was amazing - at both the restaurant stops as well as exploring the bakehouse, supermarkets and bakery.
The number of people on tour was a good size.
I will be looking to do more Taste tours as well as coming back and trying out some more Afghan and Syrian food!

We had an amazing day tasting a range of Afghan and Syrian delicacies right in our backyard. The guides were wonderful and knowledgeable, and the hosts provided us a unique and wonderful experience by preparing and sharing their tasty cultural cuisine. It was a privilege to learn the history of these dishes and to eat something I would not normally try. These dishes are now a regular addition to our weekly dining. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful tour - makes me realise how little I get around to different parts of this diverse and interesting city. Sahar was a wonderful, entertaining and informative guide and I came away with some great foody treasures, as well as lots of information about the various cultures and cuisines.

The experience has exceeded our expectations. We were introduced to shops and restaurants that we would otherwise never gone to. Our guides were very cheery and knowledgeable, talked us through the culture and the background of each restaurants. Definitely highly recommended.

The Taste of Afghanistan and Syria was excellent. The group size was perfect and our host Sahar was very informative and welcoming. There was a good amount of food to try, with it not being overwhelming. The tour includes a good balance of restaurant and retailer and introduces some fantastic new flavours to your palette! Would highly recommend for locals and visitors to Sydney.
