Marisol was so friendly and really focused on sharing her favorite street food with us. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. I liked that she just really focused on food rather than dragging us through various museums and cultural centers. She also gave us choices of what we’d prefer to try as well as took us in various shops and shared different types of sweets, fruits and cheeses. I would advise asking for Marisol when booking.

We had such a great experience on our tour with Andres as our guide! He took us for delicious food throughout the day mixed in with history of the city and gorgeous views. Walking around the city city felt like walking with a friend. Through the different plazas and markets, you can tell that Andres has many connections and his love for the city is shown at each location he brought us to. He was very receptive to any input of locations we would like to see along the tour, and never felt rushed or slow. Overall this was a great time and would let others who travel to Tijuana for the first time experience it like this.

Humberto was an excellent tour guide. Great fun, food and shopping. He knew all the really clean restaurants with the freshest foods. Stopped for some great craft beer scenes as well. Highly recommend!

We went on a little adventure and took a walking foodie tour in Tijuana with lovely tour guide Sarah from Border Tours. We started our morning with mouth watering tacos and horchata for breakfast, followed by a matcha pastry, and then had freshly baked bread with hand crafted cheese, sundried tomato spread, mustard sauce and chimichurri. Next, we tried delicious coffee from a small shop that roasts their own coffee beans, followed by a beer tasting at a micro brewery. We finished off our tour with the best quesadillas I’ve ever eaten in freshly made tortillas made from blue corn from a family owned small restaurant. On our way back to cross over the border we stopped to do a bit of shopping. It was a fantastic experience and we highly recommend it!

Excellent tour. Got to sample street tacos, tamales, Caesar salad, and margarita. Left very full and satisfied. Enjoyed seeing the city of Tijuana and learning about the culture. Andres was a friendly and informative guide. Highly recommend.

Not only did our tour guide not show up, when I called to find out what was going on, no one answered the phone with number they gave me. I left multiple voicemails and text messages and still have not gotten a response from them 2 days later. A total rip off.... They stole my money and ran.

We embarked on a tour to Tijuana from San Diego to try out authentic Mexican food. Andre was our tour guide for the day. He was friendly and open to suggestions.
The foods on offer was underwhelming as we were just taken around the 'touristy' streets in downtown Tijuana, trying out stereotypical Mexican grub in restaurants that includes them on its respective menus. This included steamed and normal tacos, moles, sweets from the market (optional), salad and other foods upon request. There was one attempt to find tamales (my bespoke request) from a stall; despite Andres' efforts, we were unable to locate the stall. We then settled for a restaurant that happens to serve this, and it turned out to be disappointing compared to what I had in San Diego.
To those interested in the tour, just don't expect a food haunt around the city to find the tastiest/most authentic food, or the oldest eateries. For the more discerning travellers wanting to try something out of the norm, they might find themselves slightly disappointed.
The review title speaks for itself. We went to the Old Town in San Diego on our first day in the city and found the same foods that was tastier. Not to berate the tour company as it's a great concept, but I would like more of a reason to cross the borders and try something that is different from what the States has to offer.
