Tikal Tour From Flores, airport and Tikal hotels in Guatemala

I went with Elmer to Yaxha and Tikal on back to back days, and it was something I will remember forever! He’s extremely educated on the Mayan civilization and each city’s history. Great with dates and timelines. He is unbelievably educated on their histories, and the nature around as well. You will see so many jungle animals!! I cannot recommend this tour more. He will cater the tour to your interests organically, and is a fantastic photographer!! I will be returning to Guatemala and going more places with him, and back to Tikal as soon as I can. Truly a wonderful experience.

Elmer was amazing! Very knowledgeable and easy to have a conversation with. He knows his history and makes sure to go at your pace. The drive to Tikal is very comfortable and w/the A/C running, which is great on a hot day. Lunch was also really really good! Would recommend 100%.

My final full day in Guatemala saw me in Flores waiting for my private driver to pick me up and take me to the ancient Mayan city of Tikal. My driver Fidias and guide Luis were both phenomenal. The tour company was very helpful in assisting me in booking and very communicative. Elmer chatted with me on WhatsApp to help me resolve some confusion and kept in contact to make sure I always knew what to expect before my trip. After I was picked up Luis and I chatted as we drove to Tikal. We stopped so I could get some snacks and then finished our drive to Tikal to pick up two other women from the Tikal Jungle Lodge to join us on our tour. Luis was very knowledgeable and passionate about Tikal and it was a joy to listen to his tour and to hear his passion for Tikal and the Mayan culture. He catered to our interests and introduced us to the local flora and fauna as well as the ruins. I originally had wanted to do a sunset tour but during the rainy season it was not being offered, but I still saw lots of wildlife including pheasants, monkeys, and sooo many coatis. He taught us about some of the local plants and their uses (one tasted like lemons and one tasted like bitter regret.) I had a marvelous time. On our way back Fidias took me to get my included lunch at an adorable restaurant and we chatted in broken Spanish and English on our way back to drop me off in Flores at my hostel.
