    What to expect

    This fully immersive flight training experience puts you in both the simulator and the aircraft to give you an incredible day. The R44 is larger than the R22, easier to fly, and can take up to two passengers to share in your time. You will start in the advanced simulator for around 15 minutes where you will learn basic helicopter controls, go over all the applicable safety considerations and get to know your instructor. You will then go into the aircraft for 60 minutes, where you will fly above Long Beach, the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles and perhaps even some of Palos Verdes. In this time, you will learn all the basic controls and maneuvers in helicopters, including straight and level flight, climbs and descents and turns. You will then return to the airport and go to a special landing pad where you will learn hovering maneuvers and maybe even picking up and setting down the aircraft. You'll be surprised and just how much you can accomplish in one hour! This 60 min flight and 15 min sim lesson counts towards your license should you want to continue with us for flight training. What a gift!
