We were so disappointed on this tour. Yesterday’s Viator trip was great. Today’s tour was a waste of money. Stonehenge was the saving grace and wonderful. Walking Tour of Oxford, so disappointing. The walk around Oxford consisted of quite a distance from where bus parked, up one sidewalk and into an enclosed courtyard. There, we stood in one spot and heard more history of Oxford and the Tour Director read the names of the studies provided on classroom doors. It was NOT a tour of Oxford.. It was a walk to one part of Oxford. Then on to Windsor Castle. When I began to book my tours, I saw that Windsor Castle was closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Before I booked a Tuesday tour, I contacted Viator customer service via email. I have it in writing that the closures only apply to on-site purchases, not prepaid tours, and yes, you will be going inside Windsor Castle. Guess what? We walked the perimeter of the grounds and viewed the front of Windsor through an iron gate far, far, away. I would not tour with Saul again as he just talked nonsense constantly to try to entertain us. I did rate this as I would recommend. If it were done properly, it would be a great tour.

Mel guided us through unexpected challenges brilliantly and managed to make the tour great fun and informative! I would recommend!

We set out on this day for an adventure and we had a wonderful one - we started at Oxford with a great introduction to the area from Mel - later we visited Stonehenge and that was just perfect - lastly an interesting overview of Windsor from Mel and then time to visit the town - all in all an amazing experience - thanks to Mel and Evan Evans Tours!!

Very interesting place. Guides are very helpful. Highly recommended. You can walk to the site but definitely best to use the shuttle system.

A great overview of sites but very, very quick. If you're pressed for time then I would highly suggest it but I found myself wanting more time everywhere! The coach was clean, and timely, and the guide + driver were professional and courteous.

Our guide was Simon and he did a wonderful job telling interesting facts during our tour. We walked the streets of Oxford and walked in the shops. Our next stop was Stonehenge and it was very impressive. Our last stop was Windsor castle. We were able to walk through the chapel and the state apartments. Very beautiful sight. There were restroom or toilets available at every stop. Also, there cafes or coffee shops at each site. The driver, Gary, did a great job navigating in and out of London. Worth the money.

The narration was excellent! We did the tour in reverse order (he wanted to avoid the huge onslaught of tourists in the morning), so we were super rushed to get into Windsor, but we made it!

Our tour guide, Phil, was great! He made this such an enjoyable tour with his knowledge and humor. It is a lot to visit in one day, but really enjoyable.

Erika_R

Our tour only had 10 minutes to walk through the entirety of Windsor Castle without any tour guide or information while walking through the castle. This poor ending to the day ruined the experience. After reaching out to the company and requesting a refund for this portion of the tour, I was told they were unable to offer a refund or assistance. I do not recommend this tour to anyone.

We had a blast on this “Must Do” Day Trip from London! Cameron was incredible! Not only full of information to share the entire trip, he was entertaining! He was funny! He was kind! He communicated expectations very well! We knew what the plan was, where to go, when to be where and how to get there. Cameron had great stories on the history of London, Windsor and Stonehenge! Billy was our wonderful driver and was great, safe and friendly! They were a great pair and made our day trip from London perfect! We’ve had tour guides in other places that merely guided us and gave directions with no history or stories. I wish all tour guide teams were as good this group! LAST BUT NOT LEAST: if you can - DO THE SUNSET TOUR OF STONEHENGE - it is 100% worth it!
