This was excellent. Our driver, John and our local guide Jan, were extremely helpful and informative. They went out of their way to make our day relevant to what we wanted. Thank you to management behind the scenes also. This was so well organised

This full day tour provides a different and unique opportunity to see the impact that Feb.19th 1942 (The Bombing of Darwin) had on Australia’s subsequent military operations and defence of its own territory. John’s knowledgeable commentary, through years of experience in the tourism industry was informative, interactive and downright bloody entertaining. A highly recommended tour!

Was a great day. John was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Seeing places with WW2 history not open to the general public was very interesting. The visit to the Adelaide River War Cemetary was very moving. Such a beautiful resting place for our fallen heroes. RIP. Lunch was very enjoyable, and being in a small group was nice too.

Wow! This is an excellent tour taking about 8 hours to complete. It is of particular interest to those Australians who had relatives serving in the Darwin region. John is an excellent tour guide who knew the answer to ever question, drove in a relaxed way, and brought delicious morning tea and paninis for lunch. Visiting Jan’s property which encompasses Pell camp and engineering and technical support stations was special because she has collect memorabilia over the years and also knew much of the history. I highly recommend this tour

This is an informative yet relaxed day tour with a great tour guide. Lunch at Adelaide River was very nice also. Jan whose property we visited was a walking talking font of information as well as a lovely lady.

Great day out with John. Nothing was too much trouble, or rushed. Excellent commentary, and very safe driving. Good sense of, gave us a good chuckle 😊😊

I visited Darwin at end of dry season (& midst 2nd wave of COVID-19) & was chuffed to have the guides all to myself on all three tours (Botanic Gardens, Darwin Heritage & WWII Beyond) I did with Walk Darwin; this made for a more personalised experience than I was expecting. Pricing for all tours was extremely reasonable. I cannot commend Brian, Yvonne & John enough; all were long-time locals, personable, very knowledgeable (about Darwin/WW II history & botany) & more than capable of answering my myriad of questions. Unlike many other tour guides I've had, if they didn't know the answer, they didn't fob you off with some phoney response! On WWII Beyond tour got to visit many historic sites that are unavailable (on private land) or well & truly off the beaten tourist track. Would HIGHLY recommend any of the Walk Darwin tours to others.
